This match was easy wasn't it? LoZ:TP had 80% guru support versus 17.67% support from the casuals. The top tiers certainly do well but that quickly fades as you go down the tiers and levels off in the low 20s for a while before fading away.

10 people fell off the Top 50. 80% of the Top 50 was in support of TP just like the Gurus. wesastro911, Zikako, AlannaWebb, NightHawk_GoD, toroidalworld, JatsuSama, Aprosenf, Axalon0, WazzupGenius00 and ElBasco did not have LoZ:TP winning.

I'll retract my beliefs that Galaxy was noticeably SFFd by Twilight Princess; in fact I doubt there was SFF there at all. I doubt that this match has much SFF either, if any.

I mean come on, SFF in a games contest??? I know there've been clear cases of it, but it seems that the voters are thankfully getting much smarter. Or probably that SFF evaporates when it comes to newer games, and this contest is full of those, so...yeah.

FFX may recover, but I guess my FFX not being able to SFF FFIX as badly as VIII prediction came through. Too bad I didn't reflect that with my prediction percent. Either that or FFVIII > FFX

As much as I love the Smash series I agree. The games don't have the GotD feeling to them. In fact from a non-biased perspective Call of Duty 4 probably should have won the division (what a terrible division for GotDness)

Just came back from a 4 day holiday and missed out on all the interesting matches that I was really looking forward to.

My reactions:


SoTC > MGS4
What the hell Metal Gear Solid? After MGS2 lost, I thought MGS4 might struggle too, but this is almost too much. I'm on the SoTC bandwagon now. I hope it can get another win this round.

Majora's Mask > G/S/C
I don't think anyone was looking forward to this match more than me. I've been one of the loudest Majora's Mask supporters out there, but after the match pic (without Link) was released earlier in the week I thought G/S/C might have won it. I'm so glad that not only did Majora's Mask pull through, it pulled through CONVINCINGLY. I would have loved to see the stats topic for this match (any chance of those going up soon TRE?)

I'd also take this opportunity to say LOL to both Ulti and ExTha, who have at numerous times laughed and ridiculed myself and others who dared to predict a Majora's Mask victory, calling me delusional and saying that G/S/C would be a monster. Nice work there guys. OoT proxy FTW.

Wind Waker > Oblivion
Match went pretty much as I thought it would. Don't think Wind Waker will take Majora's Mask.

Fallout 3 > Halo
Thought Halo could do a bit more than this, I guess the lack of a day vote really hurt it.

Metroid Prime > Half Life 2
For 95% of the time pre-contest I had this in my bracket, only changing to HL2 at the last moment. Kicking myself for listening to the board now. This match kicked me out of the guru, which is a shame, because if Brawl won (which it did) it would have been a two horse race between me and Black Turtle (who at this point pretty much has the contest in the bag, congrats.)

I'm glad Prime won though. In my eyes it's one of the top 10 games of all time. I'm just sorry I didn't back it at the last moment.

Brawl > Melee
Match went exactly as i thought it would once again. I'm glad that the superior game won in the end, and that the obnoxious Melee fan boys predicting an easy Melee victory got burnt. Love those match pics though. The one with just the sandbag is hilarious.


Not sure how I'll end up in the final standings now that MGS4 has flopped, but if MM makes it to the final 4 and Brawl wins, I should end up in the top 50 at least. Can't wait to catch up on the past 10 stats topics, these matches looked awesome. This has been a great contest.

Yeah FFX would break 60% without SFF. Most didn't expect much SFF power from FFX here yet everyone's predictions were in the low to mid 60's (the mid 60's ones probably assumed SFF, but I don't think the low 60's ones did).

Hmm. (X - IX) > (TP - SMG)? How much does X need to break in this match? 65? It's still gaining, I think...

Anyone know who Bacon picked in the GSC/MM match? It looked like he thought he was setting up MM vs. WW division final, but since he picked Pokemon over Brawl (anyone ever talked to him about why he did that?), I wonder if he actually chose GSC there.

Also has there ever been more whining in here (just the stats topic, not the board) than there was for GSC vs. MM? The anti-Zelda sentiment in here was pretty extreme after that. I don't recall the stats topic ever whining that incessantly before. Even the Melee/Brawl whining pales in comparison. (I expected a lot more complaints about that result)
