Well most people knew this was a tossup going in. At the risk of SOUNDING INSECURE WITH MYSELF omg, the Melee 60/40 crap was not at all serious and I've said for weeks how no one has the right to call this some easy match after the fact.

Honestly, I chose Brawl > Melee cuz you convinced me it had a better showing in the 2009 Games Contest >_>

If by some miracle we ever saw Melee vs Brawl 1v1, Brawl could be considered a favorite going in. Compare Melee's eye test this contest to Brawl's. It isn't close.

That seemed as good a reason as any, LOL 4-ways aside.

I don't think so Brawl has a 20% advantage going into this match and while Melee had CoD4 I still think Brawl will finish higher.

Last round stats:

Super Smash Bros. Melee - 43.75%
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - 63.15%

Though Brawl had an advantage going in, it should be almost equal. I'm guessing around 25-30% here.

Well Brawl did look better in the eyeball test last year, and then Kingdom Hearts's duel happened. From a totally unbiased no-nostalgia perspective, Brawl looked like the stronger game going in.

The match is close enough that I'd be curious what happens with the ASV. Brawl took the morning so it probably takes the ASV too, but historically Melee's had the stronger looking ASV, so you never know. 51% is probably too big to overcome too, but.....

I guess TP and MM are the games that can most realistically take down Brawl now.

I am not surprised at this. KH2 looked awful. Fallout's big victory over Halo proved that KH2's 64% on Halo 2 wasn't very good, and the 56% on Bioschock was disappointing, too. As for beating KH1... either it rSFFed it, or KH1 isn't very strong, either.

It -shouldn't- beat Brawl, but what do I know....
