it's not like Metroid Prime is some undeserving game. we're talking about a consensus top 10 of all time game. I can see you complaining about other stuff but this isn't an outrageous result. these are both highly respected games.

What about all the times yoblazer freaked out over Pokemon results? All 100% jokes, I'm sure.

I just don't like it when people who have very obviously cared about contest results in the past turn around and act hypocritical. That doesn't gel well.

So the big Smash bash is tonight? Wow. Since I've lost so many big-point matches as of late, both my entries are completely useless (I'm not even sure I'll beat SBAllen). If Brawl wins tonight I think I'll beat him in the bracket challenge since the winner of Smash/Smash is probably still the most likely game to take it all and I have Brawl in my bracket.

But never mind that nonsense - I want a close back-and-forther more than anything else. We've had a few, can we get one more? I hope so.

People could vote Metroid if they were turned off by the Orange Box's version of HL2. I only played HL2 at a friend's house and that water hazard level was a big turnoff. If taking forever wasn't enough, the controls for that vehicle were horrendous.

No one's saying you're not allowed to care- they're saying that when other people's favorite games lose, they (or at least yo and ExTha) have blown up in hilarious and entertaining ways. You're just being all depressed and sulky and bringing us all down.

no it wasn't. Especialy considering the match was supposed to be close. If you predicted Pokemon gold blows MM away and then MM wins then yeah it would be a ridiculous result. It was always in doubt. One meaningless random poll from 20 months ago doesn't change squat. MM is no.1 seed, It's a Zelda game..it's a console Zelda game on the N64. I don't know why you are still going on about that. It was NOT an odd result.

Kingdom Hearts + Uncharted 2 = dead bracket.
This contest, man.

FO3 to the semis has been 90% likely since day 1, I think. Prime can't overcome a big RPG like that. HL2 would have needed rallying to do it and I've yet to see any effort from Valve to do so.

I'm glad I was booted from the guru ages ago so I could vote and root for my favorites. It felt so disingenuous rooting for Half-Life 2 over arguably Nintendo's best game when I've never played Half-Life 2.

But with that said, this is the worst I've seen the board since that awful Deus Ex match. You'd think people would be happy about Prime finally not choking and getting the respect it deserves, but both sides are insufferable at the moment.

I really don't think a comeback's possible at this point, unless HL2 magically wins the ASV, and Gordon doesn't crap rainbows. I've resigned to my bracket's fate. As a side note, the best thing about this contest is MM being strong, it's the best Zelda after all!

Fallout 3 had 60.51% on Halo 3 at the half way point and finished 58.23%. I'd just subtract 2% and be done with it.
