To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA

SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense.

Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. See above for a watered down explanation for how the stats are calculated.

Both Samus AND Gordon Freeman suck, and both of these games are horribly average. I hope Fallout 3 kicks Prime's ass and then gets eaten alive by Melee so all three of them can reside in mid-card hell as far as the x-stats go.

Prime seems to be stabilizing this hour.

Now I just need Prime to maintain this percentage and win the ASV to get a stunning 55% victory, followed by Kingdom Hearts II getting smashed by Twilight Princess 60/40. Then, Prime might have a chance against Fallout 3 next round!

Don't get your hopes up too much. Check out the regional shifts: HL2 is winning the overnight areas while Prime easily has the Americas. Doubt the ASV goes Gordon's way, either.

That means Europe, Asia and others are shifting HL2 and keeping it alive. They might make it closer somewhat but when the NA ASV hits, it's basically finishing it off.

Europe hates the gamecube. So i'm AMAZED how well Prime is doing. Prime has no chance against Fallout 3 in a night match.

Also for stats sakes it puts about 5 games in this contest quite close to each other.

I'm not sure I understand this. I didn't root for HL2 because of my bracket (in fact, I'm already eliminated from the Guru). I didn't create some hype train. I just like HL2 significantly more than Metroid Prime, and it's another bad result when there's been a contest full of them for me.

You're basically saying you're going to troll people when they express disappointment in a game they like losing, in which case there's something a bit wrong with you. Especially coming from the guy who launched into a 15-minute rant, on a podcast, the day Persona 4 beat Dead Rising.
