vote is now entirely dependent on which match pic I get when I vote. I
was planning on voting for Prime, but if I get the Hypnogordon, what

Before
the contest started everyone assumed that SOTC was the weakest 2 seed
and it would lose in the second match.Now it is in the division final

So
my question now is which games from the 2000's can go toe-to-toe with
the upper tier (sans OoT, FF7) 90's games. I guess those would be Link
to the Past, Super Mario 64, MGS, RBY, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario

Based
off MGS vs. GSC '09 and MM/GSC today, it looks like it's about as
strong as MM (Pokemon's probably not worth as much in this format, but
then again, neither's MGS). Meaning if RE4 comes out looking stronger
than MM (and hey, SotC), it has a great claim at being the strongest

of match pics I wanted a Melee/Brawl pic that has SSBM Captain Falcon
about to hit Zero Suit Samus with the Knee of Justice, on Big Blue on
top of the Falcon Flyer. Also I wanted SSBM Ganondorf right behind

OOT's
ending made me tear up.....gotta rate it the best ending in a video
game I've played. FFX had a great ending too, and I love CT's ending,
though that may be somewhat out of bias due to loving the game as a
whole to a huge degree. FFVII's was surprisingly lacking. Chrono Cross
had an ending that made me feel angry and wish the game had ended 90%
of the way through. --- Nominate Crono so he can get a higher seed and avoid being fed to Clinkeroth early in the contest. |

I dunno what to make of yesterday's match. On one hand, it makes Galaxy
look worse since it only 60-40'd the weakest Pokemon generation, but on
the second hand it makes Galaxy look better since it makes Zelda look

So,
it seems inevitable that we will see Final Fantasy X vs. one of the
Legend of Zeldas. Pre-contest FFX was the obvious favorite, but people
have been a bit down on FFX after it's had a few matches, and LoZ
exceeded expectations (or just everyone way overestimated GSC, which

People made GSC out to be a monster and when it got beat by MM, they held on to that notion that it's a monster. It's not. Setting aside GSC's stellar run last year, it still demolished Advance Wars in a contest that's been very kind to GBA games, and it did pretty well against Mario Kart Wii too. Both games are unknowns, of course; but personally, I think both performances indicate that GSC is still quite potent, if not a contender for the finals like many thought. 56% on it is a great performance. --- Kingdom Hearts + Uncharted 2 = dead bracket.
