Zelda Legion who have caused Link to win multiple character battles and
have caused all Zelda games to be forces in these contests are, without
doubt, drones - drone strength boosts a game that should hover at a
certain level to another level entirely. If MM loses to FFX or RE4 it
only proves that MM couldn't beat them even with drones, a damning

If MM beats Melee.......I could probably surrender on the drone topic. But that won't happen. (Note: If MM beats Brawl in the final, I will celebrate and congratulate Zelda fans for being truly discerning heroes who saved us from the awful game known as Brawl). --- Nominate Crono so he can get a higher seed and avoid being fed to Clinkeroth early in the contest. |

think MGS and especially MGS4 is pretty much locked into the Top Turkey
spot. That result is just embarrassing. GSC/MM was at least considered
almost a toss-up by most of us. ZeldaFAQs striking again was always a
possibility. Nobody saw MGS4 flopping that hard. You have a good point, but did anyone predict that GSC would lose this badly? This was supposed to be a close match, and pre-contest, GSC had good reason to at least be a slight favorite... right now, though, it's letting Majora's Mask curb-stomp it in bombastic fashion. As bad as MGS4 looked earlier today, this is one of the most embarrassing performances in a long time - it's the kind of showing that makes Magus's performance against Sandbag look completely respectable in comparison. --- Kingdom Hearts + Uncharted 2 = dead bracket. This contest, man. |

Because G/S/C(and Pokemon as a whole) just isn't as strong as we thought it was. That's it. RBY is definitely in the running as the number 3 game on this site. Every other Pokemon game is much further down the line. Zelda fans are drones the exact same way MGS fans are drones and FF fans are drones and just about every popular franchise's fans are drones. Just because everything else isn't as popular as Zelda does not excuse their fanbases of not being full of drones, if you want to go down that route. Extha The only thing you'd be hoping is for ZeldaFAQs to come through and prove their robotic tendencies, and if you banked on that, then kudos to you. But there was no other logical route you could draw to a MM victory here. To pretend that you did is just dumb and you should stop. Except "ZeldaFAQs!!" was very legit reasoning from the start. There is nothing lucky about arguing ZeldaFAQs. Ulti Is that the Oracle? Who cares about the Oracle? I pick the results I want to see instead of what I think will happen. Or did you miss my picking Melee with 60% in a couple days? And even then I'm still beating you, so... nice job bringing that up? This is a strange line of logic since the Oracle is by far the best reflection of actual skill. So it's the #1 thing to care about except for the prize money aspect, but we all know brackets/battle are vastly more lucky oriented. If it wasn't for prize money there's not much reason to think the brackets mean much. And you're not really beating him, like he said he's almost tied with you despite predicting less matches. That said EvilNcr has little reason to gloat, I don't see him having a track record, and his guru bracket does appear flawed to say the least. And even though he got MM>GSC right his logic yesterday was still pretty bad. The obvious silver lining, of course, is LOL 4-WAYS. I've been preaching for years about that format being illegitimate. I can get a match completely wrong and still come out a winner :D Oh come on Ulti :) Stop trying to always "come out a winner". If you were incorrect just accept it, you're trying to make yourself look better, and you just end up looking...strange? I don't really understand this? You're also hardly alone in saying 4-ways were an untrustworthy format, most of us thought the same. BT See my post earlier. GSC is definitely a more hardcore Pokemon game, RBY and Majora split the casual Nintendo vote. Saying RBY split more with MM than GSC is insane. Let's
look at characters. We have Link.....and then we have a huge huge gulf
down to Ganondorf and Zelda. With FF, Cloud is below Link, but in
addition to him we have Sephiroth, Vincent, Squall, Tifa, Auron, and
maybe Zack all wedged in between Link and Ganondorf. Even with Mario,
where Mario is way below Link, there are 3 characters: Bowser, Yoshi,
and Luigi, who are on the same level as Ganondorf and Zelda. After Ganondorf and Zelda, we have another huge gulf down to......Epona? Saria? Malon? It's telling that the next strongest Zelda characters haven't even made a contest. Zelda fans are the very opposite of drones. They just love Link and Zelda games very much, and there's a lot of them. --- Nominate Crono so he can get a higher seed and avoid being fed to Clinkeroth early in the contest. |

Think about it carefully: RBY is one of the most popular, casual games of the 90's. Every other Pokemon game has a fanbase of cheetos-caked neckbeards that play for hundreds of hours to get "shiny" Pokemon or whatever. difference is that the FF series has character you should be able to
give a crap about. There is not a single Zelda character that isn't
Link/Zelda series proxy votes, and it shows whenever they meet up.
