oh
it's a fact that it's a repetitive game that follows the same formula

Which fanbases are closer, LTTP and TP or GSC and DPP? Almost certainly the latter. LTTP gets 55% on TP, probably. GSC would double DPP at least. This isn't even close to true. --- DFF |

I'm
kind of thankful for this result because it blows the bottom quarter
open, and perhaps even gives Twilight Princess an outside shot at the
final four. The third quarter is between FFX and RE4. The top quarter
has three games interested. The first semi will be a dud, but the
second probably won't. The final? Who knows. I just want a great run in

I would say calling something stale is a criticism of its quality, but that's just me. And Pokemon being "repetitive" has no bearing on Zelda fans being massive drones. I mean how much do the fanbases overlap, not how close the games are in strength. You can tell both by SFF (LTTP probably won't be able to SFF TP much, while GSC will throttle DPP), and by trends (GSC and DPP will have very similar trends, TP will probably do a lot better with the day vote against LTTP). --- Nominate Crono so he can get a higher seed and avoid being fed to Clinkeroth early in the contest. |

GSC's
percentage is still embarrassingly low, so it's safe to say that it's
the turkey of the contest. You're off the hook, Metal Gear... unless
SotC, like, 60-40s Snake Eater or something. My bracket's dead, just about all of my favorite games are eliminated... all that's left for me is the RE4 hype train! And frankly, I'm okay with that. RE4 > OoT, BABY --- Kingdom Hearts + Uncharted 2 = dead bracket. This contest, man. |

So next round, does MM break 60%? I think it can, with how crappy Wind Waker is. Probably not quite, but it's not out of the question. I would certainly be shocked if Wind Waker won. I'm curious to see if Majora's Mask can take out FFX... MM's amazing score on Chrono Cross last round turned out to be no fluke. I doubt it will happen, but if we throw 4-way stats out the window I suppose its chances are better, huh? --- "Ah, a party! We haven't had one of those. So...what is a party?" KP RBY got over 50% of the vote in its match against MM. 4-ways my ass. What this match does do is that GSC's match against MGS into a whole new light that makes quite a bit of sense given recent results. What light? I think I'm being dumb but I'm not sure what you're getting at. Also the result of that RBY/MM/PD/BK match is clearly very suspect at this point. Remember that PD and BK were N64 games. In other words, LOL 4-ways. The MGS/RBY/MM/GSC match probably shows more accurately where RBY is in relation to MM. TheCodeisBosco The top five biggest turkeys of the contest, in my opinion: 1) Metal Gear as a whole 2) Pokemon G/S/C 3) GTA: San Andreas 4) Final Fantasy XII 5) Rock Band 2 Though if Majora keeps going up, G/S/C will probably get the #1 spot. Just sayin'. I think MGS and especially MGS4 is pretty much locked into the Top Turkey spot. That result is just embarrassing. GSC/MM was at least considered almost a toss-up by most of us. ZeldaFAQs striking again was always a possibility. Nobody saw MGS4 flopping that hard. GTA has never gotten much respect so it failing didn't surprise anybody, can't really call it much of turkey, just typical GTA underperformance. FF12 was pretty laughable - but it never was considered strong. And RB2, nobody cared about. MGS4 is probably the biggest flop by a large margin. Then GSC maybe, but I would hesitate to call it a turkey, just an overhyped disappointment. red sox I think the clearest signal of Snake > Mario was that Snake got approximately the same percentage on Sephiroth that Mario got on Charizard. There were a number of other matches suggesting Snake at 53-55% too, but I don't remember too well. Well I guess when you bring up the Charizard/Sephiroth comparison Snake does appear as the favorite. But setting Mario=Samus, which seems reasonable, gives Snake only 50.75% in the raw stats. Now Samus is overrated there since she got Cloud in a night match, but even in my adjusted stats Snake gets less than 52% on Samus. He wouldn't have broken 52% on Mario in a 24 hour match I'm pretty sure. Maybe in a night match he would've gotten higher than that. --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |

king of drones. You don't have an argument here - Pokemon doesn't even

I've
thought that Samus has been a little stronger than Mario indirectly
since 2008. She was stronger before the Boost, and the Deboost put her

agree that Pokemon should be on the list of flops, but Metal Gear
Solid? I think that honor goes to MGS4, and no others. MGS3 got a solid
victory over Paper Mario, and I think MGS2 did just fine once we found
out that it was on par with MGS4. Perhaps if SotC beats MGS3 only to
get destroyed be Majora's Mask should we call the whole series a flop. That said, Majora's Mask SHOULD have the bottom quarter of the bracket locked up. fact is that Zelda fans aren't drones, Zelda is just plain popular.
More popular than any other series. That's why it wins. It was more
popular last year, it is still more popular now, it was more popular in
2008, it was more popular in 2006 and 2005, and that's why Link always
wins. Because he has more fans than others, not because his fans are
