That makes it worse. A match that Zelda wasn't even supposed to be in and it still wins. Terrible.

What makes it better, is most of the MM pickers are closer to the bottom in the Guru. Only 3 in the top 30 took MM in this match.

I might actually get on the leaderboard tomorrow despite getting 2 of the last 3 matches wrong.

There was no sense in taking the strongest Zelda game in the bracket (which got a 1 seed to boot) over a second rate Pokemon title?

I've been saying since day 1 that all the GSC pickers based a 20+point decision on 1 single weird SFF match. Everything other than that match last year points to Zelda winning here.

It might make the final, but FFX will be a tall order. Then again I thought GSC could beat FFX, so I don't see why Majora can't do it. I had a feeling those people would vote Ocarina by proxy here. The stats topic immediately dismissing the theory meant it would happen, too.

4ways =/= 1v1

And Pokemon didn't have boostees. It seems like it needs some kind of advantage - either the format, a game release, or a ridiculous picture - to do well. I'll still trust the RBY era Pokemon to do well, but yeah, I'm not trusting anything else Pokemon in a 1v1 for a while.

RBY got over 50% of the vote in its match against MM. 4-ways my ass.

What this match does do is that GSC's match against MGS into a whole new light that makes quite a bit of sense given recent results.

For Mario, I guess with MGS looking so bad this year, Mario perhaps should be the favorite over Snake, but I won't take it. I firmly believe that Snake was in the 53-55% area on Mario last year, probably closer to 55%, and so it'd take a pretty big drop to turn the match over to Mario from those heights. I'll expect a close match, but gotta go with Snake on principle there.

Wait, what? Where are you getting this 55% on Mario from?

I think Snake/Mario would've been 50/50 last contest. Now Mario has to be favored though with the non-stop MGS floppin'.

Omitted score all got the match wrong.

As expected, yet another very bloody massacre cause by Shadow of the Colossus. Only two brackets in the Top 71 got the match right. The top tiers get hammered even harder than everyone else and the prediction percentage rises as you go down the tiers. It isn't until the -25 that the prediction percentage consistantly break 10. Somehow nearly half og the -31s manage to get the match right. Prediction percentage levels off in the mid 20s and low 30s before normal fading takes over. The top score is now 14 off perfect.

Since just about everyone near the top got killed, only 4 people fell off the Top 50. PickleInspector, KingLionel, Jobi1 and Redsworth did not have Shadow of the Colossus winning the match.

Another 44 people on the Top 50 got the match wrong but survived. Many of them only fell one or two places. Former first place bospsychopaat, former second place EnochCamas, former third place Ludwig_Von_2, Blairville, VDontheLadyYo, Wht_Lens, Ultimaphazon, AcidEnema, Kotetsu534, SunnyX, McGee4Ever, SubDeity, darkfir, PSU_Jer, BaronvonPanda, kneazlegirl, draarrowgant, IngmarBirdman, Jakyl25, AgainAgainFFA, notConcerned, TheGreenThunder, MoogleKupo141, MerchantTorneko, Iwazaruskopf, Swordsman12, TheOlympicHero, Mr3790, Iamdead7, APHStriker, RaptorVinny, HaRRicH, KennyPT1, tigger93, Osfan, Enohp, LoneRanger22, Pizzaknight, JKGibson2, gitanil, kangle5411, Celebrex, melikepizza and Glenn_and_Toad also did not have Shadow of the Colossus winning the match.

2 people on the Top 50 had the incredible foresight required to see Shadow of the Colossus into the fourth round. Current and new first place (and up from 11th) SomeGamerDude and current eleventh place (and up from 47th) thedarkpp knew from the very start that Shadow of the Colossus would not only be in this match but win it as well.

GSC only ever looked impressive in a weird SFF situation. I could believe it if you based the pick on Majora being weak, but then you should never have taken GSC over WW. This was a no brainer to me, and it blows my mind that everyone else relied so heavily on a suspect SFF match.

why not? it's not like Majora's Mask is a monster unless you think GSC could still beat FFX. I mean, I guess that's possible but that would be one HELL of a jump. based on this match, Majora's Mask looks like it could compete with 2009 RBY and, well, yeah. I have to believe there's something else going on here.
