pretty sure that if you count up the number of close matches (53% or
less), the bottom option has won more times than the top option in this

wonder if the pic is meaningful here at all. This match is close enough
that SOTC's amazingly badass pic (just looks gorgeous) might be helping
to switch the result? Nothing wrong with MGS4's pic but the SOTC pic is
very impressive. Random dumb pic of Wander and it might be losing here. Also I *never* would have guessed SOTC>Diablo 2 before the contest. That seems pretty wrong, damn. Crono should be able to beat Snake......in the sprite round. For Mario, I guess with MGS looking so bad this year, Mario perhaps should be the favorite over Snake, but I won't take it. I firmly believe that Snake was in the 53-55% area on Mario last year, probably closer to 55%, and so it'd take a pretty big drop to turn the match over to Mario from those heights. I'll expect a close match, but gotta go with Snake on principle there. --- Nominate Crono so he can get a higher seed and avoid being fed to Clinkeroth early in the contest. |

Especially considering about how we're talking going from the weakest member of the Noble Nine by far, almost losing to a non-Noble Niner twice in a row, to just shy of Samus. MGS isn't really that strong on the site as a series, it's strong, but Snake is the rare exception where a character is stronger than their games. As for 2010, that was likely more FF7 weakening massively. Snake didn't look any stronger than 2006 before he got to Sephiroth, and Samus did the same on Cloud in a night match. And of course, there's no way a game that came out one year and a half(and one contest) before that contest helped him to that degree.
