I had a lot of fun with Goldeneye when I played it. But if we're talking technical terms and aging, it's unplayable now. I don't mean to sound elitist here, but if you've actually played any new FPS game and compared it to Goldeneye, you would see what I mean. That's not an insult, either, this board just...doesn't play new FPS games. --- DFF |

don't see how MGS4 could possibly be in any way weaker than MGS2.
Seriously, I also think SotC is being bandwagoned to take out all three
MGS. Not that it isn't somewhat strong but it's being bandwagoned. And
if it it succeeds today, it'd going get much worse next round because
even more people will bandwagon SotC again. And it successfully takes
out MGS3 too, it'll become the new L-Block and I don't think any single

As
somebody who loves using Braid and Portal as an example of good art the
gaming community should aim more toward, I don't feel compelled to use
SotC in that same way. A lot of people call it art, but I see it as a
game with nothing but boss-fights...which is also fine in my book,

The End's fight still holds up on its own as the pinnacle of the MGS series in gameplay. Oh and I'll take MGS3. I just like its odds from a loyalty standpoint - The Boss appears in a single game and she's a low-midcarder, which gives me a good sense of dedication - and that if there would be a game difficult to bandwagon against, it would be MGS3. played MGS1-4 for the first time in the past year or so, and they
didn't necessarily feel dated, gameplay-wise. MGS might not stand out

I think everyone has to except that SotC has gotten some
kind of bandwagon between last round in now. That's a lot more easy to
believe than MGS4 dropping to like half its 2009 strength in the span

am torn between amusement at MGS failing and my strong dislike of SotC.
If SotC wins here i'd want it to beat MGS3 as well, but it probably

Well. Another possible explanation is bandwagon + SotC being really strong this contest. Think of other 'respect' games: Portal, Bioshock. Shadow of the Colossus is next in line. --- DFF |

Assuming
SotC finishes off MGS4 and somehow upsets MGS3, this would be the worst
killing of a series in a contest since every LoZ failed to reach the
