This
ended up a fairly average performance from Melee. Barely outdoing
Brawl's 4-way percentage despite CoD looking terrible isn't all that
impressive. Better hope Brawl had a lot of standout factor in that
match. --- Dr Football and Snake have won this round, but Sephiroth will rise again! |

Personally, I'm a bit surprised it even fell that low during the night. Mind you, I'm actually glad it did since it helps me but I didn't think a game like CoD would beat SSBM during the night vote. --- *sigh* Lemme get my TI-83+ ...WTF!? COd4
looks terrible how? I don't know what people expected from COD4. It's
doing enough to put it above Morrowind and WArcraft 3 which people
would have predicted anyway. COD4 is one of the strongest FPS non RPG's
on this site, easily top 3 anyway behind CE and Goldenye. Melee is
doing what people predicted, which is high 60's. If this was a day
match then the numbers would be greater. Brawl has pokemon which barely
beat GTAIV, meaning it would lose to COD4 so Brawl has to better Melees

Against SSBM, most games would look terrible anyway. CoD would be awful against a decent game that shouldn't be able to beat it. Anti-votes however would. Against SSBM, people wouldn't be voting for it anyway so anti-voting isn't really an issue. On a sidenote here, I completely forgot I ever had this account. Definitely putting it back in service. would expect brawl to do worse against COD4 though. And it never looked
terrible. I hate when peopole keep using that to justify a surprising
performance. You don't even know how strong SoT or PD are, PD64 would
have had a huge following during the N64 era(the most popular and
favourable era on gamefaqs) so i wouldn't say it looked bad against
PD64. Everyone knows how much this site is skewed towards Nintendo
games. It can't have terrible performances and suddenly do alright

Either way next weeks match is looking close but whatever happens Melee goes into it the favourite. It's doing about the same as Brawl on a game that looked great last year and terrible this year. It'll be hilarious enough seeing Prime's board vote against Fallout 3. Also I'd pick Half-Life 2 over any other FPS besides GoldenEye without a second thought. Though imagine Halo/HL2 in a day match. Would've gone a bit higher in the Oracle if I'd seen that (I picked 66.75%, would've raised a point probably). Yeah that 31% on Brawl it got will be very accurate here.
