of FFX disappointing have been ghostly exaggerated. Most big games in
this contest haven't really impressed us; we've been disappointed with

I got both of those matches right. Halo and Portal were clearly more popular than the other games. Half-Life 2 is not clearly more popular than Prime. --- xyzzy |

I don't see any problem with RE5 vs. Okami being a debatable match. RE5 wouldn't having any trouble scoring 56% on Mega Man 9. --- DFF |

just glad it's shaping up to be a match with no clear favorite, really.
Our other big round 4 showdowns probably won't be as good in reality as
they've been for us to debate in this topic, so that might be our one

Tales
and Okami were in the same 8-pack in the last games contest, which
proved Tales is significantly stronger. Judging from that, MP/HL2 is

also think Prime/HL2 is a toss-up. I probably won't submit an Oracle
prediction until I see Zelda/Oblivion. That's obviously a different
match, but there are parallels to be made: big name Nintendo entry vs.
respected Western game in a weekday day match. If Wind Waker rolls,
I'll probably favor Prime. If Oblivion manages a decent fight, I might

Is
the general consensus that HL2 is roughly equal to Oblivion? If Wind
Waker got 55%, which is what it got against Prime all those years ago,

Okami
would beat Halo 2 one on one. But the point is that Metroid Prime did
terribly against Okami. Metroid Prime? More like Metroid Crime. Since
it should be illegal to do that badly in a match I said yesterday Half-Life 2 needed 54% to have a shot at Metroid Prime. HL2 is far exceeding that number. |

think Mass Effect is going to get killed. Hopefully the day match will
help assuage the suffering, but that strikes me as a weird case where

I don't either. I think Oblivion would beat H2 without that much trouble. Probably 53% or so. Paper Mario proved it was pretty strong and Oblivion has looked as good as D2. I think Portal can hang with RE4 to a certain extent (as in, breaking
40% with ease). I don't think FF12 ever threatened to do anything like

the FF franchise voting we've seen in the past, it's possible that FF
