Well I'm not going to lose any sleep if SotC winds up falling. When they re-release the collection next year and people that weren't originally exposed see what a masterpiece the game is, they'll realize the wrong they did.

Like I said, next round either title gets flattened.

I enjoyed both of these games... but I have greater memories of playing MGS2 (much younger, played with friends after huge pre-release hype, that kind of thing). I'm happy they're providing such a fantastic match!

Yeah, MGS2 is at a point where even though though I know it probably could absorb another stall or two (or even more if it eventually just goes crazy, but in this match I wouldn't count on it), I feel like another one would just be crushing to its chances.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

I'm rooting for the right for one of the absolute best game ever to win two matches. Everything else is immaterial.

Our The MARIO is a classy individual though, he'd make it look like he let up just enough to give the opposition hope of surviving the comeback, only to spike a 70% update at 11:45 to take the lead and crush any hope of victory.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask – 83.40%
Wii Sports – 16.60%

Chrono Cross – 61.89%
Dragon Quest VIII – 38.11%

Analysis

As impressive as Chrono Cross was last round it doesn’t have a chance in this match. Sure Majora’s Mask probably SFF Wii Sports, but the game is no slouch and probably would have crushed it even if there was no SFF. I do believe that Chrono Cross is an underrated game and I think this match will be the one that will show that the game has decent strength.

Both Chrono Cross and Serge have been stuck in SFF situations for every match they have been in. While the game should not be close to the likes of Chrono Trigger and Crono I do find it hard to believe that the game would be fodder on GameFAQs. While the game does get some hate the hate seems to be towards the reviewers giving the game too much credit and the game not being Chrono Trigger due to the differences that they made.

Like I said Majora’s Mask is not a weak game and while I believe that Chrono Cross will have a decent performance I still think Majora’s Mask shouldn’t have a problem breaking 60% in this match. While I don’t think Majora’s Mask has a chance next round given what happened in the previous contest this will be its chance to try and prove me wrong.

Mind you, I feel pretty bad about MGS2's chances right now even though I know it should be perfectly capable of this.

Besides, I can hardly act like going with MGS2 in a match, that unless something shady happens, is going to be the closest wire-to-wire match in contest history, was a bad decision. It's just awful luck.
