This is obvoiusly a combination of WoW taking a sizable hit from 4-ways to 1vs1, the '04-'06 division being overrated in last year's stats, and Paper Mario being stuck under SFF. Even so, WoW is getting 60-40'd by a game that it's supposed to double according to last year's x-stats. Lol to the max.

This is one of the only few matches were you could only know the winner by watching how the contest itself unfolds. I thought World of Warcraft would 55-45 Paper Mario, but after watching it's performance against such a fodder as AC, I knew Paper Mario was going to win now.

BTW, World of Warcraft and Uncharted 2 have been my 2 biggest dissapointments of the contest.

I'm pretty sure I've seen this problem of mixing up the N64 and Cube Paper Marios before. I think I remember seeing it in a magazine once or something. If i'm remembering right, it was even the same dang screenshot of Mario and Goombella in Petalburg.

Overall prediction percentage wasn't too great. This was second lowest of all of the 1 seeds (SMG was lower). The top tiers once against did quite well. The Top 118 all got the match right. -18 and better managed to stay above 90. Prediction percentage faded in a normal way from there.

No one fell off the top 50.

TTYD is definitely stronger than the original Paper Mario, but not by much. I'd say... 54-46 sounds good. If this match continues like this, I'd take Gears over WoW with 54-46 too I think.

I know I asked this earlier but here goes some more questions:

Do we think that Diablo II could break 45% on MGS4?
Do we think that SotC could break 45% on MGS2?
Should I vote for MGS2 just to spite SotC's whiny fanbase (seriously, if they whine about SotC being "art" something's wrong with them)?

Wait a minute, last contest also had SotC fans whining about their game being "art", right? And the game was against Resident Evil 4, which from what I've heard is ALSO one of the prime examples of video games as an artistic medium. SotC fans are officially dumb, wow. I could've never guessed. Worst fanbase ever indeed. And it gets even worse if you're Ulti.

Feel free to vote however you like. I've noticed all fanbases have some crappy members, it's just some are more common/vocal than others. Like, this year I learned Deus Ex has some really nasty people in its fanbase who get angry when it wins. Uh, okay.

I vote for my top favorites over everything else (unless they're against a game I like even more).
If a game I actively dislike (usually due to fanbase or being too powerful) is involved, I tend to antivote. I antivote more often in character battles than game battles, though.
When I don't care about either game, I'll bracket/battle challenge vote or just vote for the losing game depending on my mood.

Actually the WoW pic is quite nice, except for some reason it looks like Warhammer at first glance. Probably because the characters seem very dark, while I think of WoW as being rather bright and colorful.

Where I stand is that I feel like Oblivion has to be treated like the favorite, but my gut - from Day 1, I mean, my bracket has this too - that TTYD can, and has very good odds, at taking this.

At first I think it was only a debated match in my mind. I'm not sure how serious everyone else takes it. I'm totally frightened of it though!

(That by itself doesn't mean much though, I can waver between being eerily correct and hilariously wrong without warning. I just have to hope I can figure out which it is!)

Personally speaking, PM/WoW has nothing to do with my worries. PM is doing about how I'd expect it to, the problem is I was worrying about this before this match. So as far as I'm concerned, this is no change. I'd have preferred some kind of over/underperformance because it might have helped me stop arguing with myself about this.

Though if PM is considered to be overperforming right now, then I guess that means I judged it higher than most people, which might partially explain why I've been worrying about it for a while. This is where I expected PM to be all along, this isn't an overperformance to me.

Why do people think thousand year door is stronger. It was on gc pm was on n64 I think it's stronger and oblivion is close to fallout 3

Why do you think the Paper Mario series is worth anything on here? I mean, it's a low midcarder at best. Oblivion already proved it's a really strong game last contest, and I don't see how anything could have changed from then until now.
