California usually has good taste- I think they like Chrono Trigger a bit more than the rest of the country (the ASV pain comes because there's just a lot of people coming home from school in the 6-7 hour, and the ASV is so bad that it doesn't matter CA is a little better about it than the country in general). Plus, they like Zelda. Excellent taste.

I got a little nervous just before the ASV but when DR didn't get the lead after the first hour i knew P4 would pull through.

I really thought this match was going the same way as Ken/Wesker, Dante/Ryu, Warcraft III/Morrowind, GTAIV/RSE and NSMBWii/MvC2 did when P4's lead began getting cut in the lead up to the ASV.

It took a small miracle for P4 to come back. It would take a gigantic miracle for Dead Rising to pull this out when trends and intangibles are all against it.

I've been telling you guys to calm down all contest.

I almost wish we didn't have all this geo-trend-xstats stuff so matches could go back to being "HOLY CRAP DID YOU SEE THAT UPDATE WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?".

The apex of contests other than Summer 2002 was 15 minute updates in Summer 2003 and the early parts of Spring 2004. Then insta-updates happened, and now it's just 5 minutes + knowing all the trends before they even change. It's just not the same.
