Over the past 30 minutes DR has made decent gains in California and South America, however the rest of US and Canada have gone towards Persona 4. The morning vote in Oceania and Asia also seem to be favouring Persona 4

Haha Persona 4 just refuses to lay down and die. Matches like these are really fun. It'd be hilarious if Brawl vs Melee was like this for about 5-6 hours.

Considering how that's THE match of the contest, it'd be awesome if it went back and forth for the entire duration!

Persona 4 winning would be awesome. I imagine a lot of people would miss the match and it will probably have a really low correct percentage too. Both games only got about 64% against their R1 opponent and I imagine more took DR winning than P4.

DR is favoured among casuals, but I think the top brackets sided with P4 more.

Actually, looking at the Guru, Dead Rising is definitely favoured towards the top, despite Persona being the cookie. I think that can be blamed on Board 8ers basing brackets on (crappy) opinions.

It deals more with Hispanics than Asians, because I noticed a weird trend in the Persona 3 match from last round regarding countries or states with high Hispanic populations.

Hmm... interesting. If P4 wins this, I'll make a point to check how well it does against RE4 in Hispanic countries.

And Cali is still holding at 51+ for Persona. I doubt Persona will lose this state now, so DR may really have a fight on its hands and could easily lose this. It's 2 a.m. in London and later in the rest of Europe. Europe is already asleep.

Although I doubt that's the first appearance of West Coast ASV in these topics. I know I've observed for years that for Chrono Trigger, the ASV hours were painful in the following order:

4-5 = 6-7
3-4
7-8
5-6

the last 3 hours should be persona 4 easily winning, since that's around the time persona is at its strongest and it was beating DR when the match started...that's the trend anyways.

So when does this ASV stop and the glorious Persona 4 winning (i hope) final few hours start.

It's 4:30pm on the west coast and 7:30pm in the east, I guess whenever you think people start going to sleep.

The ASV ends at 8, but it tapers down slowly after that, and the SNV doesn't start in earnest until 11. That's how a normal ASV based on day/night trends works anyway......if this one is based on North America making up a larger percentage of the votes, that'll keep happening right through the end of the poll. P4's gotta hope that CA making up more and more of the US votes makes up for that, but it seems pretty unlikely to me as P4's only at 51% in CA.

trends this year have been different than previous years. I don't think the old thinking really works anymore. that was what a 24 hour trend looked like. now, everything seems a lot more blended together and not as cut-and-dry.

Over the past 30 minutes North America's support for DR has dropped despite DR performing better in California. South America is supporting DR a bit more. With Europe going to sleep Persona 4 needs to start making gains in US as Asia and Ocean won't be able to hold.

I'm willing to call Persona the favorite here. Whatever Dead Rising's doing, it sure is NOT pulling away. A 100-vote win is still a win, but if it's carrying this same 100-vote lead in the last hour when Asia's votals will have increased significantly and when the Persona fanbase will be on the warpath, it's completely dead. Dead Rising won't win that. It needs to build, pronto.
