SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense.

Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. See above for a watered down explanation for how the stats are calculated.

Noble Nine - Link, Cloud, Solid Snake, Sephiroth, Mario, Crono, Sonic, Samus and Mega Man.

I won't feel comfortable here until DR has at least a 400 vote lead. Persona fans are too rabid to let their game go out quietly.

I keep seeing comments like this, but Persona let SF4 beat it last year by seven votes, so I'm not convinced yet. I don't care if no points were on the line -- it was in a struggle only Board 8 cared about and lost despite being hyped that Persona-fans wouldn't let it down.

I took the percent from major places over the last 30 minutes and DR went up everywhere except Oceania and California. The biggest jump was in North America, mostly from US and Canada.

Unless Persona starts making sustained cuts by around 9 PM EST, I think 400 is overkill.

Personally, I think Persona needs to be at Down 100 maybe 150 going into the final hour to even have a chance. Not even a good chance, just a chance at all.

I still think a 300 vote lead ends this, and even at about 250, I imagine Persona 4 is about doomed.

Yeah, Cali dominates this timeframe, and Persona is still holding to the lead there. It'll need more when all of Europe is asleep, but just keeping it close could fuel rallies at the end.
