Analysis

After easily winning over a non-conventional sports title Fire Emblem comes face to face with an opponent it can’t defeat. Like last round I can just repost my analysis from Path of Radiance, change a few words and you’d get the idea of what will happen. Though for a game behind SFF in the last two contests it’ll be great to finally see how strong this game is, too bad it won’t show in the final stats since Final Fantasy IX and X are on a collision course.

The main debate is which Fire Emblem game is the stronger one. I still stand by that Path of Radiance is a bit stronger than Fire Emblem, but between fans they seem to be split on which North American game they like better. Fire Emblem was the result after fans begged Nintendo to bring it over to North America, but Path of Radiance was the first game to be released on the console and it has Ike in it.

A lot of people don’t seem to think KotOR can break 60% on Fire Emblem. Pokemon DPP almost got 65% on Path of Radiance and I’m not even sure I would take Pokemon over KotOR comfortably. Even if Fire Emblem ends up being stronger than Path of Radiance I don’t see it being that much stronger which means KotOR should have no problem breaking 60%.

Now that the match is nearly over now, I'll agree that GTA:SA losing here looks quite bad for any GotD-resume, but I can only speak on GTA:SA's side of this perspective. It sold extremely well, won many GotY-awards, became the peak of one of the most important series of our medium, and was a fantastic game. It was my first GTA I played seriously (if GTA2 doesn't count), and it rendered GTA3 and even GTA:VC to a lesser degree unplayable for me afterward. Meanwhile, it doesn't sound like even GS-fans think it's particularly great. I haven't played it for myself -- just going off of you guys here.

No anger here though; it's a popularity contest on GameFAQs. It's inherently skewed toward certain sides of the gaming demographic and we've known this for eight and a half years. Let it be, and way to go GS for getting some unlikely attention.

Not particularly. FE may impress if it's lucky, but I don't count on it to actually threaten any. SW:KotOR beat GTA3 last year and I don't think FE gets close to GS.

All of my 92 point brackets dropped off the leaderboard except for one of them. Even the account which was at the #1 spot only dropped to #5 even though I got the match wrong.

If you check the updater, at the 3 minute update it had a bad minute where KOTOR barely won. Thats what I was talking about.

I don't remember, do tell.

A guy insisted on fighting me on a night I just got no-showed on a date in another town, and he was drugged up bad while refusing to listen to me tell him no. He punched me in my temple, then grabbed my new car's open door and slammed it on me after still telling him I didn't want to fight. I had enough bad s**** that night and had to stop it, so I sized him up to settle this as quick as I could and slammed my knee between his legs. I also punched him once, which made his nose bleed so bad there was still a puddle on the pavement the next day.

Found out that next day he was in the hospital for a shattered testicle. He...wasn't happy about it, and eventually got arrested for trying to fight me in school about it again a few months later. It wasn't before I called him a one-balled freak in front of the school though, face-to-face.

He also didn't like that.
