A generic, crappy JRPG beating San Andreas is the kind of result I expected when I first came on to the website in late 2004. Gradually, things have gotten more awesome...2005 had Knuckles > Magus, 2006 had Snake's run, 2007 had L-Block beating Clink, then Snake beat Sephiroth. This represents the site reverting back to the same awful crap and it pisses me off. What's worse is I won't even feel vindication when Golden Sun is knocked out next round - look what it gets eliminated by. didn't SA tank the ASV in its previous showings? I mean I'm not
expecting GS's to be great but SA couldn't gain percentage on Dead

I just don't understand all the anger for this result. Nobody should be shocked either. We have to one day accept that regardless of what this site fawns over: RPG's, Platformers, FPS's.. whatever. If first-person shooters were popular we'd probably be saying something like "Half-Life wins every year" and would be crying about RPG's losses every chance we get. There's going to be some dominating demographic regardless of what site you're visiting. Perfect diversity is like, impossible. Just enjoy the contest. --- *is Dranze* |
