I wouldn't say that GTA lost its popularity until some point in early 2006. San Andreas almost made The Top 10 in THE LIST after all, and I don't think saying that is completely worthless.

Ness might have been able to beat Vercetti as well, tbqh. He did get 35% on Auron after all, and 2005 was the year of the Nintendo boost. Don't know why people find racistfaqs so offensive though. Young white middle class male gamers aren't exactly known for yelling "Successful African-American" over Xbox Live.

Well I fortunately missed last nihgt's Ulti-fueled debace, and while I certainly don't want a resurgence of that, if you see this Ulti, don't make claims about people you don't know. I don't know exactly what your problem is, but you constantly try to push yourself above others, attempting to decry people for whatever reason. I'm still baffled as to how people think some of these games are superior. Final Fantasy X over Borderlands? I could see FFXII being a contender against Borderlands, but FFX contains so much archaic design and has such a soap opera of a story that I just can't see how you would think it's better than Borderlands.

It seems like Japanese games in this battle have an undeserved advantage because of their fanboy mobs, but the fact is that a lot of Japanese games (specifically on the RPG front) have fallen far behind Western games in terms of innovation and storytelling over the past few years. Whereas Western RPGs are creating worlds that unfold around you and react to your decisions (such as in New Vegas or Mass Effect), Japanese RPGs are still forcing you to run down what's basically one long, twisting, well-decorated corridor (Final Fantasy XIII).

Well an okay performance by FFX.Also KH had a lot of bracket support.I guess because it was a 1 seed.Now for tomorrow...Man I want GS to win and I have that,but I believe GTA shall win.I mean GS isn't a popular series while San Andreas is considered by most fans the best game on GTA series.Well we shall see.

Trust me, i do agree with most of what you said but JRPG's have been declining in strength since 6-7 years ago. WRPG;'s will become stronger and stronger.

The only problem is TP got over 57% on RE4 when freed of the shackles of KHII. I'm not sure how much stronger than Borderlands Dragon Age is, but it'd need to be getting 58% before RE4 looked like it could take it. Definitely an upset worth watching but I'm not sure.

Just ran a check, if KFChester gets the next 4 matches correct and banks, they will be guaranteed to finish ahead of Bacon. DarkEspeon needs to get the next 5 right and then bank to do the same.

This assumes Bacon gets every match correct from here and doesn't bank all the way of course which would give him a max score of 132000.

Lightning Strikes, i was going to post something similar last night but decided against it because the pettyness had already ended. I'm glad you said something though (and worded it better than i could've) because he really has got this aura of arrogance and elitism about him and despite me not being on the contest board until this winter i already see him as the stand out annoyance here.

I doubt the battle leaders (not including Luster) are really taking Bacon into account. It's only 10 karma, who cares? Most of the leaders would be more worried about the other people who have the potential to actually overtake them. I doubt KFChester is working out at what point Bacon can't overtake him just so he can bank at that moment.

I'd also just like to throw my support behind what Lightning Strikes said as well. I know I'm more of a lurker than a regular poster here, but sometimes there a couple of users in this topic who can get really aggressive and elitist, which is a shame because 99% of people in here are actually intelligent and decent users.

It obviously depends on how much confidence you have in your pick for the winner, no-one can tell you that, but if you bank now, you will almost certainly beat Bacon and have a slim chance of finishing on the leaderboard. You are in the best position as far as streak is concerened; there are only 14 people with longer streaks than you at this point, so finishing high is definitely possible and possibly even winning, though I would say Espeon is in the driving seat for that at the moment if he goes risky.

For an idea of where you are, if Luster's brackets stop competing as he says they will, you're in the top 200 or so for potential points.

Then why would you insist that there is significant LFF going on between TP and KH2. KH2 put on a similar percentage on RE4 on both rounds, if there is some serious LFF going on between them, shouldn't KH2 be hurt as well. HL2 scored almost the same percentage on TP on both rounds too.

Isn't FFX/RE4 a Night match? FFX obviously has a huge advantage. Would have been interesting in a day match.
