I don't know yet. most people think the ps2 gta games are stronger than 4 and that got 49% on RSE. Golden Sun has to be stronger than RSE to win, basically.

I base my decision on 3 main points.

The biggest confidence boost is GTA3 getting 43.83% on HL2. I sincerely doubt Golden Sun can top that.
The other one is Dead Rising > The World Ends With You because it proved Handheld RPGs are weaker than console ones. (Exception for Pokemon and maybe Crisis Core).
And lastly they have only 3% difference against Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal & Dead Space. And like I said previously, I consider Dead Space stronger.

So... I'm not banking but putting 9100 points on the line. (23800 banked). Mainly because I regret banking on Halo 1 > Halo 3. Could have a streak of 30 matches in a row right now if I didn't chicken out.

Popular at school, but not as cool as Dr_Football, Guru Champ!

Oh yeah. And of course GTAIV being at 49% vs Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. Golden Sun would need to outright beat Pokemon.

I meant by that that if TWEWY was on a console, it never would have lost to Dead RIsing. I'd pick even obscure RPGs like Legend of Dragoon or Persona IV to beat DR.

I wouldn't be surprised to see FFX reach the mid-70s tonight. Borderlands should be a fair bit weaker than Morrowind, and FFX should be able to beat Melee at night or get close. Viewtiful Joe and Tales of Vesperia seem like they could be of similar strength, and 2.5 points in the 70s is 5 points around 50%.

Handheld-titles have generally been doing well this contest, especially GBA-ones (which are all by Nintendo). Somebody mentioned this before:

--> Mother 3 shocked us by not even being doubled by DMC3.
--> Everything Pokemon has been respectable thus far.
--> Metroid Fusion did well against DPP (though it wasn't as hot in the vote-ins).
--> FE beat down THPS2 (though that shouldn't be hard).
--> Advance Wars did better than many expected against GSC.

Couple that with GS's easy doubling last round, and GBA's been looking solid this contest.

Mother 3 and Metroid Fusion looked pretty good, but Pokemon RSE just finished getting 60/40'd by SMG and Advance Wars didn't perform that much better, people expected it to get 25% and it got under 27%, not that crazy. FE beating down THPS2 was expected, especially after what PoR did to WWF No Mercy.

Pokemon shouldn't really count since they were being treated as an exception to the "handheld games are weak" rule. They ended up with normal expectations as opposed to getting undervalued like the other handheld games.

It could be artificially inflated to that strength with a new game and such a big picture advantage. We've seen it happen before. Bowser and Kratos are equal through Charizard, and LOL at that.

the new game is pretty whatever, really. this isn't a major release. I don't care what that poll says. it's not even in the top 10! hyped games usually make it there on anticipation alone. it's getting pretty average review scores too.

Why did you expect better from RSE? DPP did about the same in BGE2, and the general consensus was that DPP >= RSE. GTA4 was misleading.

Overall prediction percentage wasn't too good but the top performers did well. Luster Soldier gets the match right again while we lose a -5 bracket and a few -6s, -7s and -8s. Prediction percentage falls in an expected way from there.

2 people fell off the Top 50. Demonsniperxd and DJSamurai99 did not have Kingdom Hearts winning.
