I sent a feedback ticket a few days ago about it and suggested a drop-down box that would allow you to see the top fifty of each kind of bracket made. Nobody could fairly flood the prize-leaderboard then, plus more users would have a chance to see their name and the overall-leaderboard remains the board of the very best brackets.

I didn't mean for the contest, I meant for the boards in general. Are you allowed infinite alts as long as you don't get infracted? I've never actually made an alt myself so I don't know.

It is both hilarious and mildly irritating :) The main problem is that it screws ups the standings, and the bracket stats.

Most of all though, I just can't believe someone would actually go to the trouble for this. I mean, we're all too into these contests, but even by our end-of-the-bell-curve standards, this is extreme! o_O

I'm not saying nuke Luster's alts, nor am I denying its ridiculousness. It just really sucks to see my goal of both contests be flooded by the same guy in both leaderboards, especially when I should be in the top half of one of them, especially just because of some karma (though that goes back to this being a funny situation).

Nobody wants to be in the top 50 just for the knowledge of "being in the top 50." Else they wouldn't mind being say, 51 that much, since nothing outside of rank 8 or so matters in reality. The whole point of the top 50 is to be able to see your name up there on the leaderboard.

Yeah Luster is pretty obnoxious with all those alts. Hopefully all of them miss a big match in round 3.

If you mean for the bracket challenge, all of my accounts have 2 picks that could kick them off the leaderboard. I picked San Andreas > Golden Sun and World of Warcraft > Paper Mario. If I get the first one correct, I'm almost certain that WoW will kick my alts off the leaderboard after struggling with Animal Crossing last round.

In the battle challenge, I decided that I would bank on Golden Sun/San Andreas (on all accounts except for one) and make no more picks for the rest of the contest so my alts will drop off the leaderboard. I would be banking 49600 points on that match, easily enough to lock up the bonus Karma on all of my accounts.

After Golden Sun/San Andreas, I will only make battle picks on 3 of my accounts. Obviously, this account is one of them. On another account, I will not bank on Golden Sun/San Andreas and attempt to continue my huge streak by trying to correctly predict the rest of the matches in the contest for what might end up being the hugest streak of correct matches. And then on my third account, I will bank on Golden Sun/San Andreas and try to see how high I can get my score on that match if I play normally and only bank on matches that worry me.

Oh, also, with all due respect Luster, I'm mighty pissed at you for single-handily keeping me off the battle-leaderboard and not letting us get a full read on the bracket-leaderboard's most favored champions. I'm supposed to be #24 or #25 right now.

Most of those accounts will drop off the leaderboard eventually.

Star Wars: Battlefront II – 31.09%

Kingdom Hearts II – 63.81%
Halo 2 – 36.19%

Analysis

It was interesting to watch the two matches go through last round. People were calling out the doom for Kingdom Hearts II during the first 12 hours before Kingdom Hearts II showed that the game really is that strong. I’ve seen this match get some hype, but I feel it is more fans joking about the possibility rather than actually believing it is going to happen.

Last contest showed that while Bioshock has some strength it is clearly a lot weaker than the elite games in this contest of which Kingdom Hearts II is a part of, however a few things have changed since then. The major thing is that Kingdom Hearts characters all took a fall in the last character battle which could translate into a drop to the two games. The two games didn’t show any signs of being weaker this contest with their first round matches, but we can’t totally rule out the possibility. Also Bioshock 2 was released recently which could provide the original a boost. I don’t think it’ll be too much of a boost, at least not enough to make this match interesting.

I know Kingdom Hearts II is a strong day game, but it doesn’t become fodder at night. Metal Gear Solid 4 had no problem winning over it last year and I expect it to be the same here except a little bit closer than what happened last year.

heh, yeah you guys are a little too serious about getting your name on the leaderboard. that said, I'm disappointed that I'm being denied leaderboard action because of this too so I'm part of the problem as well.

Golden Sun/GTA is killing me. the way I see it, GS has to be stronger than RSE to win. hmm.
