This match is not even Smash Bros. showing weakness in Europe. It's Morrowind showing strength. The Elder Scrolls is really well liked in the UK. Just look at what Oblivion did or Morrowind in round 1.

Analysis

I’ve always thought Perfect Dark had decent strength and while it doesn’t have a chance at winning it could have a good performance on Modern Warfare whom didn’t look that great against Prince of Persia last round. Perfect Dark did about expected on a fellow Nintendo 64 game ranked lower on the totem pole.

The main question is whether or not Modern Warfare has gotten weaker since the previous contest since there is no doubt that people are going to be comparing Melee’s performance next round with Brawl’s performance last year. I wouldn’t be surprised if Prince of Persia did end up having strength, but I think it may be likely that Modern Warfare is weaker now. The love for Call of Duty on GameFAQs seems to have passed with the release of Modern Warfare 2.

Perfect Dark has a great chance at breaking 40% in this match even if Modern Warfare was its old self. I sort of felt that the two Call of Duty games were wasted in the bracket since they could have done so much more, but anyone could say the same to a lot of the games in the bracket and really we’re just nitpicking. Overall we can’t have everything and based on some of the matches we had so far SBAllen pulled off a great bracket.

While you're using the whole "wii is succesful" in europe you are compeltely forgetting how BADLY the GAmecube BOMBED in Europe. Brawl would beat Melee EASILY outside of NA.

Wii has sold more in Europe than the N64 and GC combined times about 3.

More people played BK. BT came out way too late for peopel to care. But in terms of quality BT/BK are pretty much the same. If BT was a Gamecube game i would probably be stronger than BK because GC platformers suck ass.
