I'd
be so mad if GoW bombs here. After this, my battle entry is home free
until I bank, and I'll be banking a good 50,000 or so points. I care more about that than my bracket at this point. It's nice to be able to adjust in the middle of the contest. --- Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? Guru winnah Explicit Content, that's quis. |

So basically it's which game is better during the day, God of War is always good at day but ToS typically has Nintendo trends. --- No one would want to be friends with an unmoving, unspeaking telephone pole. However, unmoving and unspeaking is exactly what you'd want from a telephone pole. |

Greyfeld | Posted 11/23/2010 11:27:34 PM | message detail |
I
wouldn't call it just yet. We're only 2 1/2 hours in, and the two games
are basically fighting over the lead. With GoW winning in every region
except NA (where it's still sitting over 49%), there's still every
chance that it'll pull ahead and put a sizeable lead during the dead
hours. The way things are trending, I would say that ToS would need to be able to come back from a deficit of at least several hundred during the morning vote to pull out a win. --- PSN - Aevio Playing: Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes |

Europe
has been slowly going ToS's way...it was at 52% at one point, now below
51%...this will come down to the morning vote/late rallies. --- Completely decimated by Dr. Football in the Guru Contest! |

ToS is slowly coming back in Europe. It was around 47% and now it's gotten up to 49.2%. --- 2010 Game of the Decade Contest - 65/76 points - Today: Tales of Symphonia / God of War http://backloggery.com/articuno2001/sig.gif |

Going by TWEWY/DR stats, GoW got this. Actually, it was almost opposite trends in that match. Dead Rising had NA, and TWEWY had everywhere else... and ToS has NA here and GoW has everywhere else. Not saying ToS is gonna win, but thats just not a good comparison. --- http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/170/ikamusume0516.gif |

wow, what a miserable night vote. God of War really is the biggest choker in these contests. --- xyzzy |
EvilNcr | Posted 11/23/2010 11:35:48 PM | message detail |
Indeed. But ToS has lost ground in NA as well. Which is why it's so damn close right now. It's very likely the way things are going that God of War will take the lead and run away with it until the morning vote. At the point, Europe's kicking in as the majority to vote in about 30 minutes or so. One thing to note : UK's 55% for GoW. Its impact will be delayed by 1 hour so expect Europe to steadily climb. --- "You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life." ~ Winston Churchill |

Didn't
GoW2 basically stall (in terms of percentage) with Zelda during the
night even though Zelda has a great opening vote and a relatively awful
night vote? GoW2 did most of its percentage cutting in the morning and
continues to the day, so I'm still quite confident in GoW here. --- Clannad love! www.board8.wikia.com |

This
actually looks like it has the potential to be close the entire way, so
I'm pretty excited. 21k riding on GoW in the battle challenge, but I
have ToS in my bracket and ToS is the better game. I'll be happy
whichever wins. --- Dr Football and Snake have won this round, but Sephiroth will rise again! |

EvilNcr | Posted 11/23/2010 11:47:52 PM | message detail |
Not really. The morning vote can change drastically despite a regional advantage. Pokemon vs GTA was the most blatant example. The second morning came, there were wild changes in the regions. We'll see when we get there. --- "You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life." ~ Winston Churchill |
EvilNcr | Posted 11/23/2010 11:52:37 PM | message detail |
Besides, it depends entirely on ToS. In the 4 way poll, GoW was incredibly steady while ToS lost a lot of ground during the entire night and morning until around 1 PM where it stabilized and gains a bit of ground back during the evening. Basically, going by trends, GoW is more likely to win. --- "You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life." ~ Winston Churchill |

http://www.gamefaqscontests.com/images/poll_graph.php?matchnum=3470&type=2&seconds=60&max=0 If that trend holds (and the current poll is alarmingly close to that trend), God of War barely wins. There
is no ASV today. No school for most places across the country. Means
the kiddies will vote in the morning instead? Who knows. So is the general consensus that if GoW doesn't increase its lead, then ToS is going to pull away in the morning? It would be great to hear that so I could get some sleep! |
