know it's been said before, but votals this contest are horrendous.
Even taking the format into account, they looked to be down in 2010,
but not to this extent. The only contest with worse numbers would be
2002 and the latter rounds of Sp2004. Probably only a handful of
matches would have broken 80,000 had they been 24 hours, and I doubt
any would have come close to 90,000. At this rate, I wouldn't be
surprised if the finals fails to break 100,000. What happened? Are

regretted my division picks the moment SF4 beat sonic. That said, i've
come to terms with the fact that I'm losing 10 points in this division.
But I did say in another thread earlier today that the winner would
probably sit around 52%-53%, so this is panning out pretty much exactly

Even the votals for the 2010 Character Battle were way better than this contest. I guess you could partly blame that on FFXIII hype, plus FFXIII was finally released near the end of the contest. I have a theory that votals on polls and contests are heavily tied to the amount of site traffic that this site receives daily and the amount of site traffic is dependent on what games have been released recently. Very huge releases like TP and Brawl would result in an insane amount of site traffic, while the games that have been released lately just aren't bringing in the site traffic. Hmmmm.
If it is people running off towards wikis like Albion said, that might
explain why older games appear to be doing well against younger games,
as the newbies to GameFAQS would be the most likely to leave. Doesn't
mean a new game can't do well of course; it'd just have to appeal to

Yeah,
our biggest release in recent time in New Vegas. And Fallout is a
strong series now, but it just doesn't pull in the people like a

know, this is weird to bring up, but I think Prediction Percentages can
be used to predict future rounds. I mean, retroactively we've got these
gems: Street Fighter IV - 70.70% Valkyria Chronicles - 58.43% Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 - 49.31% Street Fighter/Sonic was a heavily debated match on Board 8, but the casuals nailed us on it. Disgaea was heavily favored on B8, but Valkyria still managed to get an above 50 prediction. MvC2 was a huge upset for the board, but the prediction is just barely under 50? Basically, in some cases, the prediction percent can help us figure out a match. Getting too wrapped up in stats and trends makes it hard to distance ourselves and figure out what the casual bracketmaker would go for. Now, take a look at this: Halo 3 - 81.29% Halo - 80.34% More people thought Ninja Gaiden would beat Halo, than Mario Sunshine would beat Halo 3. Is this really just a case of "lulz casuals"? I mean, Master Chief/Halo generally have huge prediction percents, but here it couldn't even get 85% against a lesser game on the same system. And Halo 3 was heavily favored despite the actual match being a tossup. Yeah they tend to overrate casual games (just look at TTYD/GoW), but in this case it's Halo v. Halo. I think the predictions are going to heavily lean one way, and that's Halo 3. That's who people are going to vote for. worry about it. B8 has been wrong before and they could definitely be
off on the Halo matchup. I'm banking for the match but my picks are set

Personally, though, my gut instinct is heavily leaning towards Halo CE - plus, it has a higher seed, a significantly better match picture and nostalgia in its favor as well! No worries. I have tastes in movies that are wildly different from at least 90% of my generation. For one, I have a strong hatred for horror movies. Oh, I actually rewatched Ironman. Still bored me. I'm just not into CGI stuff most of the time. My exceptions are the charming action flicks like Die Hard or Beverly Hill Cops.
