it goes two ways for me.

do I see SA2 beating Uncharted 2? no.
do I see SF4 getting 58% on Legend of Dragoon? yes.

Looks like I'm gonna stick with SFIV in the Oracle and Battle. I call it the underdog, but my lack of faith in Uncharted coupled with a few other intangibles (pic advantage, the other games in Dragoon's vote-in looking bad) still gives it a fighting chance imo. I'd prefer a day match, though.

I didn't realize I was on the battle leaderboard until today. I'm not going to bank on the next two matches though since I'm still a little ways behind the leader. I may as well go for it, you know? Hopefully Uncharted 2 and Halo: CE come through!

So.

It's either bank or SFIV.

The way I see it, if I bank my 13k here, I've only got a marginally higher chance of winning than if I get it wrong. If I get it right here, I've gotta get through like 3 other toughies this round but the rest are easy and I'll have 120k and be in great shape.

That's my thinking. You aren't going to win by banking on every "debatable" match. Taking risks is necessary to win, just like with a bracket entry.

If you take the vote-in seriously, then Bioshock also kills Metroid Prime. Meanwhile, Uncharted 2's performance equaled Halo 1's.

I thought pretty much everyone agreed that multi-option polls like vote-ins were worthless? At any rate, games like Chrono Cross and other old PS1 RPGs show Dragoon is likely no slouch. Also, Batman seems to be doing pretty decently here, and that was in the 2009 GOTY if you want to take it seriously.

Bioshock would kill UC2 but it would also kill SF4.

I am definitely leaning towards SF4 but I refuse to abandon my bracket. let's see.

I take GOTY polls with a grain of salt, but when the polls put two games at a 12/88 percentage split, I tend to believe that one game has an advantage going into a 1v1 match. Granted, there's the SSF4 boost to consider, but I would have taken Uncharted 2 to beat SA2 in the first round, whereas I honestly believed that SF4 would lose that matchup.

Guess we'll find out in about 2 minutes.

I don't know what people were thinking when SFIV had a chance at winning. This match was basically all about "Would you take Sonic Adventure 2 to beat Uncharted 2?". Knowing that SFIV struggled to beat SA2 and did it with less than 51%, the answer to that question is no.
