don't see D2 winning but if it does, it's not guaranteed to win anyway.
There's MGS2 (which it would definitely beat if it gets through MGS4)

I do expect it to do better than AC just because outside of stats, I'd expect D2 to be stronger on this site than AC. But I think MGS4 will still win pretty handily. those two aren't likely to happen. But my reasoning for D2>MGS4
would be D3 hype, while I don't see an art game beating a MGS game with

Meh. I'd never think to take Batman over AC2 in a 1v1 poll. That seems wildly counter-intuitive. Huh, why? I would expect Batman to win that easily based off of Batman votes. Perhaps
I misspoke, but I don't see how the upset of D2 > MGS4 can be
compared by likelihood to the upset of SotC > MGS2. Unless we get
some Facebook-inspired fishiness here like at GameSpot, D2's just not

Halo 1 won't just win because it's the original, but it's the more respected and beloved and plain stronger game. AC1 sold like twice as much. Not so sure there. I think both games sold about 8 million copies worldwide -- and AC2 did more than 2 million in its first two months on the market in the US alone. --- The whole object of travel is not to set foot on foreign land; it is at last to set foot on one's own country as a foreign land. |

The way I see it: Sons of Liberty received killer critical reception when it came out but was quick to receive fan backlash. Since then all that has settled down and withered away. Snake Eater had somewhat worse critical reception than Sons of Liberty but, partially thanks to Subsistence, ultimately rose up in MGS fans' minds. Guns of the Patriots received killer critical reception when it came out, then died down, which is basically the opposite of Snake Eater. always figured the first PM would be the strongest for some reason. I'd
like actual fans of the series to voice their opinions, though. I loved Paper Mario; it's my favorite Mario game hands down, but I never really got into TTYD. Granted, I only saw/played it at friends' houses, but something about it stylistically was just repulsive. I
think the original would do better, as it was more notable when it came
out, was on the N64 whose games usually outperform their Gamecube
counterparts, and has a simpler title. Plus the whole "Earlier games
tend to perform better in series where the games are all similar" thing. As a big fan of both games, I prefer TTYD myself. Really need to give that another playthrough when I get a chance. --- Wylvane Menji76 is a horrible user. |

actually haven't played SMRPG, so I can't answer the question, but
Paper Mario is probably the simplest RPG you'll ever play. It has a
very minimal story, and a very simple battle system- yet somehow it
works wonderfully. Atmosphere is above all in games, and this is one of

The
original PM reminds me of SMRPG a lot, though SMRPG has a softe spot in
my heart while I couldn't finish PM (got pretty far though). Can't say
anything about PM's sequels though, except that my brother disliked
