Man some of you people are so picky.I mean out of all people I know that access the Internet I don't know a single one(including me)that uses some extra stuff with their browser.I mean what if you see ads or stuff like that or well anything extra?I don't get it.

I only got adblocker cuz some of the sites I go to have random sound ads that pop up sometimes (Like the Vault), and those are really annoying. I don't mind just normal ads

If this match was ACII vs SotC do you think SotC would be winning? ACII isn't looking too strong since ICO almost has 40% on it. I'm glad I didn't pick ACII advancing any further than round 1.

Well you'd be kind of foolish to have it beating Wind Waker anyways.
That said SotC could beat ACII, it's a very loved PS2 game and it actually has a higher playrate with Sony not being dumb and limiting its printing.

AC did well on MGS4 yet ICO's doing well on AC2? Huh. I'm gonna give ICO its credit for now since it was a sleeper-hit that stuck with people and SotC did well (not to mention The Last Guardian's hyped by fans of those two). This was a doubling in my mind before this though, so this is pretty big for at least one of these two games.

Having Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood coming out inbetween the two AC matches is far more significant then some game coming out in like a year. This is just AC stinking it up, making MGS4 look baaaaaad.

If you assume that AC(2) is in the Halo/GTA/KOTOR range, then MGS4's 63% on AC isn't so bad in light of MGS3's 62% on Halo 2 (from '09). This would put ICO above Dead Space and Silent Hill 2, around LBP's strength, which isn't so crazy.

I thought SotC had an outside shot pre-contest, but now it's got a real shot. Probably shouldn't be the favorite, but I'll probably take Sims > BT and ICO's done well here too. The MGS-games in general haven't made many of us particularly pleased with its performances so far, either, so don't put it past MGS's weakest love/hate-rep to choke to one of the most acclaimed PS2-titles.

I'll stick with MGS2. No way of knowing which is stronger between Banjo-Tooie and The Sims (I'd expect Banjo-Tooie, personally), but I do prefer 37.7% on FFX to 35% on KH2/RE4.

Yeah, I'm not worried. MGS2 and SotC might be two games that blow out fodder comparatively, but when they face themselves, I'd expect a 55/45 or something.

No offense to the pic maker, but there must have been better Uncharted 2 submissions. It's a drab mishmosh of characters no one cares about, and it's up against a sick picture of Ryu charging up his Metsu, looking like play time is so over. Yeah, no way I'm not taking SF now.

Every 2009 game outside of Dragon Age (and Gamefaqs loves its RPGs) looking like trash really killed my expectations for Uncharted 2. It won't beat SF4

Funny because SFIV is also a 2009 game - one that got KILLED in those GotY polls, no less. Actually, the reigning 2009 champion, Modern Warfare 2, also looked unimpressive against ANOTHER 2009 game that got killed in the GotY polls.

Only Dragon Age has looked great, and that was up against (probably) one of the weakest games in the bracket.

I don't know, looking at the 2009 GOTY polls, SF4 got more than doubled by DAO, while UC2 scored over 57% on it, then still beat DAO in the 3-way poll while being sapped by MW2.

For SF4 to pull out the win in this match, it had to have increased A LOT, and have UC2 drop off a bit.

As for the 2009 front-runners (MW2, UC2, ACII, Batman, Dragon Age), I wouldn't be at all surprised if Dragon Age was the strongest of the bunch now. It's the only one that outdid our pre-match expectations, and it's an RPG with lots of DLC to keep it fresh. In fact, I'd probably take it over all those others.

DA is only strong because its opponent was awful. wait until TP before saying anything there.

2009 is a cool trend. round 2 should be fun. if 2009's as bad as we say, TF2 should beat Batman clean.

Yes, because the strength that MW2 has now is probably less than half of what it had 1 year ago. And it will continue falling... same as GTAIV.

Of course you're correct. Most of us know that GOTY polls are to be taken with a grain of salt when it comes to measuring contest strength.

However, it should still be taken into account that we're not talking about a 45/55 difference in a GOTY poll (which could mean next to anything, in the presence of massive LFF, and the occasional SFF). If I've done my math properly, we're looking at something like an 88/12 match in favor of UC2, based solely on those 12-way polls.

After changing it to a 1v1 setup, obviously the numbers shift drastically. But even Dissidia, who went 20/80 against MW2 in a 12-way poll, still ended up losing the 1v1 matchup, despite the actual match being significantly closer.

As I said, in the end I think it's going to depend entirely on how much SF4 has increased in popularity in the last 10 months.

I don't think TF2 > Batman is that far-fetched. It's a day match which, looking at the trends, should help TF2 a bit. If that one is even in contention, though, it would speak volumes about just how weak 2009 games are around here.

SF4 is looking more legit now. It also helps that the fighting game community is on the rise right now. There has been like 2 major tournaments in the last month with another one tomorrow. Before MvC2 beat NSMW I would have thought Uncharted would 60-40 SF4, but now I'm feeling silly having Uncharted go to the division finals lol.
