This is ****ing great. Leon has been arguing the entire time how underrated Wind Waker was, and I figured that as well. It did damn fine in 2004 despite losing to Starcraft, and it got stuck behind Melee in 2009. It hasn't had a chance to really prove itself, and I'm glad to see it kicking some ****ing ass.

My only regret now is that I don't have Wind Waker > MGS4!

It's a western action game against Zelda. GoW won't have any trouble breaking 30% here, but like I said, this is a serious wake-up call for people. Real Nintendo is strong. Western games have to really bring it if they want to beat real Nintendo.

Sadly for my bracket, this might extend to Half-Life 2.

GoWII had those competitors outclassed, outsold, and out-prestiged (this is not a word). Much easier to out-prestige RE5 and Metroid Fusion than a legit console Zelda. Knew I should have gone sky high with the Oracle, bah!

Isn't MM the Samus of the scenario? It's the more off-kilter one, while WW is more mainstream.

This is why people need to stop comparing matches to Samus/Mario. Samus/Mario isn't the type of match you can compare with anything, like you can with Crono/Vincent.

Wind Waker? More mainstream?

The hell are you smoking? Aside from the fact that Majora got the 1 seed, despite half the people nominating thinking it was a late 90's game (I know I was surprised when I found out it was 2000), MM is essentially OoT 2, and either the second or third strongest game in the series (depending on where you think TP is). Wind Waker is the sole cause of Link losing his only match in contest history, that's saying something.
