~*Say What? Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~

SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense.

Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. See above for a watered down explanation for how the stats are calculated.

HaRRicH is a horrible user.

Just so everyone knows, Link is awesome and deserves to win every single contest. In fact, it's outrageous that characters are able to win whole hours against him- what kind of horrible taste is that? I am going to anti-vote FFVII next contest, just because I'm sick of Cloud always being able to win a whole hour against Link. You'd think after 7 years of Link not winning every single time period as he deserves, people would stop voting against him and we'd get some change around here.

And then there was one. The -2s took a major hit to their already small number. Only one of them survives this match. The -3s do better and nearly hit 80. The prediction percentage manages to stay above 70 until the -8s and keep falling from there. I didn't think this match was that tough but apparently a lot of people had trouble with it.

11 people fell off the Top 50. Warriorwsh89, theswisscheese, chriscam23, pedpup21, Vlodd, Frost_Ice, kowolf, NikkiSixx, DJSamurai99, AshenSky and bgbball31 did not have Chrono Cross winning.

4 people got it wrong but survived. Teh_Ronin, Popcornball, ArchSorcererX and darclogan also did not have Chrono Cross winning.

Hahaha. The only reason that Cloud wins whole hours on Link is because of Europe (and Asia due to a smaller extent). The 3 hours that Europe won over North America in the continent poll were also the same hours that Cloud won over Link.
