I think some of you have lost sight of the point
of the character battle, so yes I cannot even believe some of these
things are being said. It's completely ridiculous. I mean... just
ridiculous. If you can't see how ridiculous it is, then there's not

Parity
does nothing but make a competition better. And removing Link (and

point is to have fun. The same character winning every year is not fun.

If that was the ONLY point, then they shoulda stopped it after the first year. But now, they drill it into our heads that Link is the most popular character ever single year, and it just gets freaking annoying. It boggles your mind that someone might be tired of the same winner every single freaking year? Really? If that winner is one of your favorite characters, yes. You
know what else is not fun? Having characters beat Crono. I can deal
with 1 character always winning, or 2 (Nintendo/Square parity is ideal
for me). But to have, say, 5 characters who have won championships and
not have Crono be one of them? I don't like that scenario! --- Nominate Crono so he can get a higher seed and avoid being fed to Clinkeroth early in the contest. |

is the most popular character. He always will be probably. Barring joke
results, he will win and win every single time without fail. If you
can't handle that, then you just have to put the contest board or
caring about the contest behind you. "It's not the destination, but the journey" or whatever that quote was is something people need to pay attention to. --- :> |

about Crono, my favorite game is Chrono Trigger. I'd love to see it win
the contest, or Crono win a contest. But even at that point, I'd be
ready to let him sit down after winning like 2 contests just because
someone else should have a chance. This isn't like a sporting event
where anything can happen any match, so a top competitor can lose if
they have a bad day. With the top competitors like Link, they will
NEVER lose unless the entire internet rallies against him. Its just sad

Weird. Should Lightning be in it? I mean, she was in a contest pre-2010, but that was before her game was released! I think she should be kicked out to preserve the idea of what it means to be "introduced" 2000-2009 NA. |

Yeah,
as weak as Wii Sports is, it'd still blow away rubbish like Adventure,
Crystalis and Prince of Persia. I doubt it's even the weakest game in
this contest; would anyone seriously take Jet Grind Radio or
