Ouch, PvZ made a big push at the end. Ah well, this is all about the picture and name appeal of that game. It's DLC, and judging by snippets of gameplay videos, it's not something that GameFAQs would be at all interested in. Shame that it'll end up well above Braid.

As good as a game that got 38% on a game that was more than doubled by Bioshock can look, I guess... I woulda taken ME > Bioshock before this match, so thats where my faith came from.

Another tough match. The top tiers manage to keep themselves above 60 but the prediction percentage quickly falls below 50 as you go downward. The -3s do best and manage to break 70. We're starting to run out of -2 brackets now. There aren't too many tough matches left in Round 1 but there's a chance they will all be wiped out before the start of Round 2. This match was another strong performance by the Gurus. 78.82% of the Guru's sided with SoA which is better than even the -3s.

13 people fell off the Top 50. RwK4, Durandi, Vlodd, Ineedgold, ChainsawLU, thesupermuffin, Snuffy_Mccrack, Lazzy128, 7point9, KingKhoi, Saotome924, chris60050 and Spy_Fox did not have Skies of Arcadia beating Baldur's Gate II.

2 people got it wrong and survived. Former second place sycamore32 and former third place YodaCracker also did not have Skies of Arcadia beating Baldur's Gate II

It's not like Mass Effect did that well on Halo 3 in the GOTY polls either, and Halo 3 had already lost its luster at that time. Not sure how that would translate over time, but I would expect a multiplayer game to fall off slower than a single player game would anyway. Not sure if Halo breaks that rule due to its hype though.

And Plants vs. zombies was the only game I never heard of before the contest, and its a DLC game that was way less critically acclaimed than Braid, and casual puzzle games are junk on gamefaqs. there is absolutely no reason for it to be stronger than Braid outside of maybe the joke factor

And that's why it'll end up stronger than Braid, unfortunately. Braid has a higher play-rate, more acclaim, and gameplay that's more up GameFAQs' alley. I'm absolutely certain of this.

Farmville would technically be the best selling "downloadable" (if you can count it that), but that would be junk here. I just don't buy any strength from those casual downloadable titles that middle aged women play

To be fair, just because you haven't heard of it doesn't really mean anything. PvZ gets the occasional mention on Attack of the Show, and I've known about the game for quite a while.

I don't know what its strength is against Braid, but I don't think anything below 80% is a decent showing here anyway, so that's kind of a moot point. I mean, if Fallout 3 can break 80% on an actual game (you know, a non-downloadable), anything below 80% here isn't really that fantastic.

I tried out plants v zombies today and was really impressed by it. Very simple, clever and addictive puzzler. Far more World of Goo than over-hyped Braid trash imo.
