I would take something like Melee to crush Portal into dust, but I'm not sure if Melee can significantly outdo what Portal's doing here. Of course, this is assuming Portal maintains the tripling+ for 12 hours. Let's hope this ends all of that silly Gears vs. Mario upset talk. I've been nervous about that match for a while, but this pretty much seals GoW's fate; even though it's likely stronger than the sequel. Let's also preemptively nip the Portal > RE4 fear in the bud. It will not happen. It probably won't happen. The last -2s both knew Persona 4 was going to win and the tiers just below them manage to stay above 80. The prediction percentage quickly falls from there into the low 60s and lower, though. 7 people fell off the Top 50 today. OneKeenCat, orange62, PinoyGenius, xinlume, eldirko, Zerochris5002 and DemSkeetSkeetMF did not have Persona 4 beating Braid. 1 person got it wrong and survived. hoffu also did not have Persona 4 beating Braid. --- "Let me believe what you've always believed! At the moment, Portal is outperforming FFX and KH2. As in not even close it would spank them outperforming. I don't think Portal is going to be nearly that strong, but this is still a ridiculous result. Let's not try and downplay it! --- DFF |

I'm
not sure if Portal will have trouble with Mass Effect if it can do this
to Gears 2. Remember that Mass Effect was weaker than L4D last time
around, and there's a limit to how much stronger a game could get on
the coattails of a well-received sequel. ME would have to be way

I'm pretty happy with most of my late-round picks after this (Portal > FFXII, HL2 > MP, Melee > FFX). --- Nominate Crono so he can get a higher seed and avoid being fed to Clinkeroth early in the contest. |

two 1+%-drops in a row...at least we now know Portal's gonna whip
FF12's ass for a little bit and FF12 will eat percentage the rest of

Portal's real proving ground will be against FFXII, no doubt. If a
Valve game comes out and stomps a mainline Final Fantasy game on

Portal
is making a killing in Europe right now, but almost losing to Gears in
Asia. Asia won't matter with the night vote, because Europe far
overpowers Asia during that time period. Gears should be dropping
