Even in 2009 when Pokemon was loved Platinum couldn't even win the DS category.

This reminds me: MP is a one-seed yet neither MP2 or MP3 even reached the vote-ins. MP2 was once a GotY-finalist and beat both ToS and PM:TYD in its Gamecube-GotY (both of which made the contest), MP3 beat FE:RD (which made the vote-ins) and could have done significantly better without SMG, and the MP-trilogy came out since both of their GotY-appearances. I certainly don't want to expect much strength from them after MP's showings, but if MP gets a one-seed then I'm pretty surprised no other MP-game even got close to making the contest.

I have DR going to round 3. Though it wasn't long after the contest started that I wish I'd taken P4 to round 3, but hindsight and all that.

That said, i have TWEWY for the battle pick, so gooooo handheld!!
