Yeah,
FFX is getting no where near the anti votes that FFVII would. It'll be
fine. And imo it needs at least 85%... I'm not sure I'd be comfortable
taking Viewtiful Joe over Infamous, so it needs to do way better than

tbh, this board doesn't really hate FFVII, it always does amazingly well in HE's top 100 games list. though it does bomb in ulti's contests. then again those are just board projects not sitewide tournaments. --- Uguu~ |

So.. what does FFX need tonight to h ave a comparable match to what Melee did? At least 85% and that's only because it has a night match. FFX
isn't as "equipped" for monster blowouts as Melee is, and Viewtiful Joe
is about as different of a game as it could get. I'd say anything in
the low 80s is absolutely fine; if it actually hits the mid 80s, that
would be a Star of the Round caliber performance. Doubt we'll be seeing

Unfortunately, Viewtiful Joe is a pretty weak game. It just barely qualified for the contest, and Joe looked dreadful
the last time we saw him in a contest in 2007 (nearly doubled by PoP,
tripled by Sub-Zero, and quadrupled by pre-Brawl 2007 Sonic). http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3119 Oh ho ho, look at this! I'd
say VJ hitting 20% would only start to be a cause for concern, and even
then, not much. FFX has no challengers until RE4, which is a monumental
underdog given the night match. It won't lose to either MGS in the
semis, and a Pokemon that has five wins under its belt could be a
