Also I am a crazy bastard but in a same series fight I'll take the game that sold twice as much onto the biggest installed base on this site over a FLASH IN THE PAN like MGS4

What do the 2009 stats say about MGS2 vs. MGS4 - something around a 60/40? Yeah, I think MGS2 will get closer than that.

FFXII prolly sold more than VI and i wouldn't take XII over VI even if it was on a system with a gigantic install base.

Uh, did you just compare the SNES "install" (get it because of emulation) to the PS3 base.

and a hated ff like 12 to mgs2 which everyone generally liked (mgs is well regarded all around)

I mean really now voltch even if I am smoking from the crack pipe thats just a bad example.

Yeah, about 60/40.

That's about what I'd expect MGS4 to do to it here, too. I'm not entirely sure MGS2 avoids getting SFF'd anyway because, higher play rate or not, I'm positive that among those who played both, MGS4 is pretty clearly preferred.

To be fair, both sides are right in that neither game was going to mean very much this contest; unless it upsets Pokemon next round, I still consider this true. You had people on both sides have some wild guesses for Vincent and Kerrigan though, and Vincent/Kerrigan was a much bigger blow-out.

Nah, I was pretty sure it was going to lose. Like I said, if I hadn't been a huge WWF fan back in the day, I'd have picked POR in the drop of a hat. Didn't even think twice about picking FE over Tony Hawk.
