the
reason this contest has been so good is that Nintendo and Square's best
guns are not here. Melee, Brawl and TP have been some of the most
boring matches this contest unless you just get hardons over seeing 85%

Yeah, the interseries matchups at least have the potential to be interesting. Well, really, they're difficult to predict and even harder to analyze, but I doubt any of those matches will be nail biters. Nintendo
vs. Nintendo and Square vs. Square is like the worst of both worlds- we
don't get fun Nintendo vs. Square matches AND we get people complaining
about how Nintendo and Square games dominate the contest and we need

I was actually thinking today that I almost wish Wind Waker had beaten StarCraft so we could've gotten WW/Melee (or preferably that FFX beat Melee so we could've gotten FFX/Wind Waker). Underdog runs are nice, but I like seeing matches between the big dogs, personally. I can understand that at the time, maybe. But in retrospect? Starcraft winning saved us from some blowouts. wish Starcraft had beaten SSBM so we could have seen FFVII vs.
Starcraft, 2 days later, on a Saturday. Starcraft's bandwagon would
have exploded, something akin to L-Block (as close as we can get in

Are
people seriously comparing Vesperia to Abyss? Man, that's crazy talk.
Vesperia is notable for basically being the only jRPG on the 360 (and
really the only jRPG to come out on any next-gen system) for several
years until FFXIII came out. Abyss was just another PS2 jRPG, and we
saw what that did for Shadow Hearts. Vesperia sold way more, reviewed
better, is liked more, got an 8 Seed while Abyss got into the vote-ins.
And to top it off, while Yuri isn't stellar, Jade is possibly one of
the absolute weakest characters we've ever seen. Borderlands still probably wins, but Vesperia is going to be closer to Symphonia than Abyss. --- DFF |

but Vesperia is going to be closer to Symphonia than Abyss. I agree, but only because of how terrible Abyss is here. It would pretty much take an active effort on Vesperia's part to end up closer to Abyss. R&C
seems more popular nowadays since the series seems to have gotten more
publicity and recognition on the PS3. Ratchet was one of the weakest
characters in the Character Battle the first few years he was in it,
and now he's at least decent fodder. Still, UYA is just a fanboy pick, so there's no logic behind it whatsoever, --- "So cold. I am always by your side." "There ain't no gettin' off of this train we on!" |

The
only thing I have any confidence on with regards to the relation of the
GTA games to each other is that VC is the strongest and they're all
fairly close. RSE > DPP makes sense to me, because it came out when
Pokemon was still a cultural phenomenon, though I suppose the fanbase

Oh nevermind, San Andreas lost by like 4000 to Oblivion, but it was 2000 behind Symphonia and GoW1. And Oblivion beat ToS worse in round 2 than it beat San Andreas in round 1, for whatever that's worth. --- "So cold. I am always by your side." "There ain't no gettin' off of this train we on!" |

that's why it was hated. I know playership isn't everything, but I
almost guarantee you that playership rates on this site go RBY > GSC

Halo
3 did great last year, and there's no reason for it to drop. In the
next match after that, we say Halo 1 blow out Ninja Gaiden. Sunshine
doing well in that match means a lot more for Sunshine than Halo 3. (I mean, didn't 2/3 of the board pick Sunshine to win?) --- DFF |

is sure above RSE,at least for me.RSE added abilities and held items
yeah,but DPP brought back night/day system,weekly events and the most
important thing of all,physical special moves instead of a type beeing
