predicted D/P doing what it did against Fusion, I picked GTAIV here,
and I still took GSC to get to the semis. I think you guys are looking

or not, GSC beat Metal Gear Solid during the day. DPP got 45% on
Galaxy, which has proven time and time again it simply isn't strong. Majora definitely has a chance, but it's not a good one. And stop assuming every Pokemon game has the exact same strength. People hate RSE. Terrible map and probably the worst generation outright. It's like saying FF11 has to be strong because of how tough FFX is. I'm
really late on this, but I have already said I disregard 4way stats,
especially LFFed ones, so don't use those to compare Pokeymans. Actually this might be a little controversial, but I think the reason the casual bracket makers have been beating us so badly in a lot of picks is because we rely too much on our stats rather than logical reasoning. That's not to say past performances can't work as a guideline but for a lot of them, especially 4ways, there's a hell of a lot of variables affecting the results. Also go GTAIV, keep my bracket safe. What ASV? Pokemon is doing better in NA than Europe. Individual regions have trends. Pokemon can win the ASV if it can turn things around in NA. A little worried for FFX! It better CRUSH everything in its path so it can beat GSC in the semis. And hey, after this round, we're not just going to see POKEMON CRYSTAL in matchpics right? I think Crystal is less recognizable and did less for that generation than the more excellent Emerald and Platinum. |

We were all so up on Halo choking we got a bit ahead of ourselves. There are other cases of this too, though that's probably the best one. If SFIV was a newcomer, for example, I think it would have been the favourite. If Disgaea hadn't looked good(for Disgaea) two contests in a row, VC would have been a favourite(still not sure why 80% of the gurus picked Disgaea though) and so on and so forth. I for one choose to forego stats and prior matchups save as a loose outline of strength.
