I dunno man. Charizard being a mother****ing beast happened 1 on 1. G/S/C still got that wildly successful re-release, and it STILL almost beat MM with R/B/Y in the poll.

One again we got close to the perfects going perfect but it wasn't close enough. One of the last 26 perfects managed to get the match wrong. Since there are so few perfects left, this was enough to push the perfect's prediction percentage below the next four tiers. Overall, high 90s for prediction percentage in the top tiers isn't too bad.

Only 1 person fell off the Top 50 this time. 5pectre was the perfect who did not have Super Mario Galaxy beating Beyond Good & Evil.

You guys are acting like RSE is strong, or Pokemon and GTA magically got weak. GTA4 is a strong game, and the generation people hate most going even with it is GREAT news for GSC.

TRE, have we had the perfects go perfect once yet? If not, there's a decent chance they will finally go perfect on DA:O beating F-Zero GX...which would be a weird match to finally make that happen.

I still think that was a fine performance from DPP. It beat Fusion a bit worse than ToS beat RE5, and RE5 didn't beat Fusion by much in the vote-ins either. If you can make an argument for DPP to compete with ToS, that's already considerably better than DP looked in BGE2.

Diamond did pretty good against Galaxy, which I think most people would take over ToS, if barely. Since then, Platinum has come out and has probably boosted D/P a bit. D/P basically did exactly what it was supposed to.

I laughed.

The match still isn't over by any means though. The ASV's likely to back RSE to some degree, and thirty minutes in GTA4 only has a lead of thirty-three votes. This is by no means over or safe for either game, especially in GTA4's favor -- I'm liking RSE's chances here, actually.

Not too confident in the ASV. Maybe series votes could save it with the younger fans, but it's pretty much coded into the fanbase's memory that RSE is the worst of the series. I mean, I find a million things wrong with that, but that's just how it is.

Yeah, though I'm attributing some of that to what you just said and I've said in the past: adding Platinum to its entry. Still, a DPP/ToS-match would draw more debate now than it would have before their matches this contest.

Yeah, GTA4 has closer to Xbox trends then the other GTA games. It held its % pretty steady against Brawl, CoD4 and Galaxy. Its gonna do fine with the ASV.
