As much as I would love VC winning, no one has played it. Hell, it almost lost to Disgaea 3 in a GotY poll. Totally deserves to take the match though. --- Dr Football and Snake have won this round, but Sephiroth will rise again! |

Disgaea never seemed huge to me on this site, even compared to more niche stuff. I'd take VC to curbstomp TWEWY for example. http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3360 now, I guess there could be like... PS3 sff hurting it there, but I don't know where you're getting the idea that people on this site care about VC. Disgaea may not do very well, but it at least as a consistent presence in these contests. The fact that Laharl makes it year after year bodes better for Disgaea than VC's never getting a character in the contest and not doing well in polls I mean, look at this http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3353 D3 almost beat VC. still think Disgaea will win, especially given how badly PS3 exclusives
have been thrashed so far this contest. I suppose we can forgive
InFamous, but then: -LittleBigPlanet ended a few percent away from being doubled by a GTA game, not to mention what might very well be the weakest GTA we've seen in a contest. -Demon's Souls bombed. -Uncharted 2 failed to break 60% on...a PS1 RPG that wasn't even all that well received. The bottom line is that PS3 exclusives are going to suck this contest. Even MGS4 is going to disappoint, just you wait and see. Heck MGS2 should avoid SFF; going by what we've seen games with heavy influence are doing well this contest so why can't MGS2 fit that bill? Oh yeah speaking of that division who wants to join me in pity voting for The Sims? --- Why did I pick Brawl to win the contest? |

My
observations are resulting in a lot of strikes against games that
haven't even started their contest yet. Seriously though, MGS4 now has
TWO strikes against it. We should join the party and try to push MGS2
over it, as a matter of fact. Heck, Portal also has two strikes against
it (Valve so far disappointing and the thing about recent veterans). Yet while Portal > FFXII is looking worse and worse, HL2 > Fallout 3 is looking better and better...although to be fair that extends to Metroid Prime and God of War with their own chances to get to the final four as well. --- Why did I pick Brawl to win the contest? |

I think people who didn't play either will likely vote for the acclaim VC. However, I think the amount of people who played Disgaea will overwhelm that comparatively. |
