Morrowind's been over 200 votes per update for a good while (before that dip). WC3 needs it to cool down quickly if this isn't to be over.

I'd better rephrase that part:

There's a correlation between popularity and expectations from the bracket-makers; within the same fanbase, the correlation is even stronger. Of course, Link beat Mario despite Mario having better "odds" of winning SC2K2....

I think Melee having the 1 seed could account for a lot of the bracket support among casuals.

This is far from over. I wouldn't feel comfortable with a 300 vote lead, not with the Cali ASV still coming, and Warcraft having a clear edge in rallying potential.

Central time ASV

Look at the vote map this shouldn't be shocking anyone. There is one state there that favors Warcraft. It's a wasteland.

WC3 seems to have stalled out, at least.

I still don't really like its chances. Warcraft has a terrible day vote, and Elder Scrolls' is pretty decent.

It's been 18 updates since WC3 won one: I wonder if Morrowind can make it 20.

I come back from an online golf game and see MW in the lead with 300. B)

WC3 is still in this, though. Not calling it until there's a 600 vote lead at the very least.

I feel fairly good about WC still. California's coming up, Europe's going to sleep soon, and Asia will be waking up soon. Most importantly, it's a Blizzard game in a close match with the second night vote coming up.
---
Nominate Crono so he can get a higher seed and avoid being fed to Clinkeroth early in the contest.

I picked Sunshine put have Halo:CE beating it. So if the first Halos stronger than the 3rd (as it should be), i should be alright.

As to why i picked Sunshine and then Halo - i overestimated day votes and stuffs.

Well WC3 is still going to lose this voting block, as the edge lies with Morrowind in Mountain time too

Thought it'd be closer than central though. Granted I haven't looked at the individual states so maybe WC3 is getting annihilated in the states it's losing and edging the states it's winning who knows.

I'm still lost as to why TES is so unpopular in Canada compared to Warcraft.

It's a Blizzard thing.

For example Starcraft almost defeated FFVIII, Diablo II came pretty close to SSBM in round 2 and WoW did a lot better.

As a Canadian it's not that surprising all my friends loved those games (except WoW, didn't hear too much about that one)

Maybe I just have an awesome class.

So, how long until the Cali ASV is supposed to start?

15 minutes, though we need to drop the overall US percent for Morrowind so Canada can close in the gap more for North America. Also UK is supporting Morrowind by like 63%, crazy.

Canada also supports Chrono Trigger a lot more than the US and it doesn't support the traditional ASV powerhouses as much (Halo, KH, SSB).

Sadly we also support Tales of Symphonia.

Taking a look at the expected vote totals, Asia pretty much counters what Europe is doing and may even provide a hundred votes more to the cause against US. It's mostly down to Canada, South America and California.

Over the last 20 minutes California's percent has dropped slightly while Canada has risen.

Should also be noted that WoW continued to lose percentage for the rest of the match, despite having an even larger lead in California compared to the overall vote. I'd say Warcraft III's best hope is to have it close enough for rallying to matter, as a legit vote swing doesn't look too likely.

Makes sense, my group of friends played Warcraft 2 and Starcraft in elementary school, then we all played WC3/DotA in high school. In high school there was about 20 of us playing regularly.

But then again, we also played a lot of Age of Empires 2.
