Melee
just hanging onto 90% at the freeze. In all seriousness, Brawl probably
will respond with something impressive- and neither that nor this
really means that much. I was anticipating 3 rounds of Brawl impressing
and Melee disappointing due to Brawl getting all day matches while
Melee gets all night matches, and that wouldn't have mattered. This
probably doesn't mean much either since Guitar Hero is probably just
really weak and/or getting SFF'd. But it's so much fun to say BRAWL DEBOOST. --- Nominate Crono so he can get a higher seed and avoid being fed to Clinkeroth early in the contest. |

This
match says little about how SSBB's going to compare to SSBM. All we can
really get is that SSBM wants to kick some ass this contest, which we

Do we have any actual polls that include both Melee and Brawl? Otherwise I'm pretty much just going to dismiss Brawl's strength as Melee support. Actually,
nothing broke 82% in a poll in the entirety of the last contest. So, we
haven't seen anything pull off 82%+ in a contest since 2006! --- Nominate Crono so he can get a higher seed and avoid being fed to Clinkeroth early in the contest. |

Probably the closest we have right now is gauging Brawl/Melee strength by comparing their percentages against FFX in last year's 4-way brackets. No matter how much you agonize over them though, they look pretty damn even. I, personally, think the edge goes to Melee, but I can't guarantee that. |

more like 45 or 55 depending on the winner. Lossing a match in the
sweet 16 is the end of your chances of winning, especially in this
match where the winner will progress at least another round, if not
more (could even win it). |

For
the record, I haven't been able to find any semblance of solid stats to
compare the two games since that 2002 poll. Morrowind pulled third in a
first round 4-way last year over Silent Hill 2, but I don't really see
it as a very telling poll, since it got beaten by MGS2 and FFX. And
Warcraft 3 hasn't been in a poll since 2003, unless you want to count
the character battles the last few years with Thrall and Arthas. |

Most
likely, no one's discussing it because there's not much that can be
discussed. Morrowind is most likely weaker than SC/D2/WoW. WC3 is also
most likely going to be weaker than those three, but we don't know by
how much. Also, there's the old poll where WC3 whooped on Morrowind,
but few people believe that it has much relevance to the current match. --- Dr. Football, the Guru's Special High Class Individual , has enforced the Obligation of Losing on my bracket |

Starcraft
probably beats Morrowind pretty comfortably, if you compare their R1
performances (Starcraft did a bit better against FF8 than Morrowind did
on MGS2, and believe me, FF8 beats MGS2 easily)... so, there's the gap
between SC and Warcraft we have to wonder about, and then there's the
issue of whether SC2 has increased the strength of the Warcraft games.

This
result mainly shows how pathetic GH2 is. Brawl would be deviating by a
couple percentage points at most. Even FFX wouldn't be more than a few
