The next match I'm REALLY anticipating is WWF: NM/FE: PoR aka......... The Rock Boost vs. Brawl Boost Will The Rock lay out the commander of the Greil Mercenearies with the Rock Bottom? Or will The Most Electrifying Man In Sports Entertainment get no sympathy from Ike's Aether? I've got PoR winning in bracket, but I do realize it could go either way. I may just bank on this one in battle. |

picked Paper Mario TTYD over Gears purely as a fanboy pick since we
don't know much about TTYD. Of course, as weak as Gears is, who knows

That match looked about right for GoW, the only difference being the board vote which isn't as big a factor in day matches due to the different start time. Also I hope this result will shut up the GoW to round 4 people. Also as a reminder GoW should only get about 52% on ToS based of last year and assuming a stable ToS. But if I may be serious for a minute. It's no less meaningless than the assumptions that GoW will do any better than expected. L4D is basically untested other than last year. We have no indication of whether or not gettin 65% on it is good or bad-the only thing we have is 2009's stats. They aren't great, but they're all we have. I am not repeating something meaningless, but trying to apply a little evidence to assumptions people are making which are practically baseless. Except there's probably a reason why Dissidia and Crisis Core are in this contest while Chains of Olympus isn't. And wow apparently I was a joke for betting against GTA. What is likely the weakest game in the series is actually impressing, and, well, this can only be a good sign for other GTAs, so shut up with that GS > SA upset. I still think GTAIV could lose, but didn't Pokemon Emerald come out at the height of Poke-hate? So I have four missed advances in my bracket so far: Deus Ex, Street Fighter IV, Mega Man 9, Grand Theft Auto III. I originally picked the latter three to advance, too, so that's nuts, but I put too much stock into the seeding sometimes. I figured that these are games we haven't seen often and that seeding might help, but apparently, just like with characters, seeding is meaningless, except maybe a little more meaningful because we won't get any 15 > 2 upsets. Next time, oh, next time... --- I have no idea how Metroid: Other M got any scores lower than 60%. |

Match XVI: (2) Half-Life 2 vs. (15) Left 4 Dead 2 Information Name: Half-Life 2 Year: 2004 Previous Performance: SpC2k9 – 4th in round 2 Name: Left 4 Dead 2 Year: 2009 Previous Performance: N/A Analysis Less than 24 hours ago we saw Left 4 Dead 2’s older brother get smashed by God of War and it’s expected that the same will happen in this match. Some people debate which of the two Left 4 Dead games are stronger, but I have a feeling that the original one may have the edge. The game made a huge splash when it was released compare to the second one and while the first seems to have faded based on the last match the second one lost to Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations in the vote-in. Big things are expected out of Half-Life 2 with it being the favourite to win this division and having a possible chance against Fallout 3. It’s kind of weird how quickly Half-Life and Gordon Freeman have turned around on GameFAQs; if you told me Half-Life 2 had a chance at reaching the semi-finals in a game of the decade contest in 2006 I would have said you were crazy. Based on the performance of Left 4 Dead a couple of matches ago I think it’s safe to assume that Half-Life 2 should get above that, if it doesn’t that could spell trouble for the future. far the least hated) and remember, the first Golden Sun game in 7 years
comes out on the day of the match. The site's gonna get a lot of Golden
Sun traffic. First why is GS stronger than LBP? I mean it could be, but we have almost nothing on either game. I have no idea how strong GS is but it's getting past 1st round easily. http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3998 GS despite having only TWO games got more votes than Fire Emblem, Animal crossing and earthbound. Though this poll isn't really a good representation because of the SFF raping. And i have SOTC>Sims. I can't see sims doing anything on a well established arbeit mid tier PS2 game. Yes,
GTAIII will probably be stronger than GTAIV. I still think GTAIV and
Gears of War will lose, but Pokemon Platinum's performance will be
highly telling; if the game fails to break 60% then I think we'll call

least popular, it sold over 100,000 first week, so tens of thousands on
