Well, looks like it's set for a straight tripling.

Honestly, while I do believe there's some cult SFF here this basically confirms Okami for the third strongest game in the division. No way it's going on to lose to MM9, and no way is NMH weaker than Mother 3.

And if it really is that weak, I might cry.

I was thinking about possibly predicting a tripling in my Oracle prediction, but I wasn't going to risk it since GotY polls can be unreliable. I did raise my prediction quite a bit, but settled at 65.10%.

No More Heroes being this weak could be explained by the fact it's a Wii exclusive and the Wii has become very hated on this site.

Search any poll with No More Heroes in it. It's weak.

Wrong. It looked hard to gauge. And you know what? You could have said the exact same thing about Okami before 2009. It looked a lot worse than NMH from its previous polls before that. I do have to wonder where all this strength came from though. Amaterasu was decent but again hard to judge last year and the same is true of Travis(though weaker than Amaterasu, don't get me wrong).

Usually this occurs when the match goes against Board 8 expectations, but MM9 was the favorite on the board. Oddly the 0s brackets do really well. I really am getting the feeling incomplete brackets are on the score listing again.

Also someone mentioned being worried what this means for ToS/RE5.

I wouldn't worry, as ToS looked a fair bit better than Okami last year, with a fairly direct comparison. Probably even stronger than that too, as there were two other RPGs in the poll.

-You mean that thing with literally no viable comparison to Okami?
-"significantly" is debatable given last year's complete lack of reliable stats. That looked more like a 60-40 kind of thing, not like this.
-there was no comparison to be made. All we had was a very rough idea of their relative popularity. similar sales and reception, makes sense.
