Well, my battle entry is ****ed unless I go on a crazy run, so I suppose I'll have to do just that...no banking from some time from here on out!

On the plus side, Halo 3 beating SMS solidly raises my hopes of getting that 4-pack right, which somewhat offsets the pain of minor hits from the Deus Ex and SA2 victories.

No banking until Warcraft 3/Morrowind.
But I actually feel pretty good about all matches from here until that one. I have at least a 60% confidence rating in all matches of Divison 2, though that really doesn't mean a whole lot.

This need to have points on your board to feel secure will bite people in the ass. You'll have to gamble, and gamble big, to win.

I'm stepping up my game here and not going to bank until WWF No Mercy vs Fire Emblem PoR. Not too worried about Demon's Souls/MM9, though Warcraft 3/Morrowind scares me ****less. But 12000 points will serve me a lot better than 6600 points, so I feel it's worth the risk.

So, Halo better beat NG now. For having this much success this first round of this division so far (only got RB2 wrong at this point), the most demoralizing thing that could happen here would be seeing my division's runner-up lose to NG in R1 despite picking Hayabusa > MC last contest.

Analysis

You know SBAllen set this match up on purpose after Hayabusa was able to upset Master Chief in the last contest. Very few people have gone with the upset considering action game characters usually tend to be much stronger than their game counterpart, but Halo requires a decent performance in order to have a chance at reaching the division finals.

In every poll ever done Ninja Gaiden has always looked terrible and that isn’t a hyperbole, it’s almost surprising that Hayabusa has any strength really. Taking a step back and trying to make some sense over multigame polls it does seem Ninja Gaiden would be around the high fodder to regular fodder area. That’s not going to threaten Halo, but at the same time it probably won’t get crushed badly either.

There is the possibility that Halo could SFF Ninja Gaiden due to Halo being the Xbox game, but I’m a bit more sceptic about it ever since Knights of the Old Republic. Breaking 60% would be an okay start for Halo, especially with the likelihood of anti-votes bringing its percent down, but it should be decently above that mark. This ends the Halo 24 hour fun pack.

Haha, man, Halo 3 was the easy favorite in both competitions. SMS put up a better fight than I thought it would though.
