really surprised people know what Deus Ex is. Is this just anti-voting

Deus
Ex did have a console port but I doubt anyone played it. What gave
people pause was that it is primarily a PC game from the beginning of
the decade. On (almost) any other site Deus Ex would have been obvious
choice, but things are different here. I went with Deus Ex in my
bracket but I had a lot of doubts and wouldn't have been too surprised
to see it get 60-40ed or something on this site. I'm glad that's not
the case (even if it winds up losing, which I don't think it will at
this point, at least it kept things interesting). Be sure to check out

Am surprised a lot of people took RB2 for this, when have music games ever done well in anything on gamefaqs? Deus Ex is somewhat cult and doesn't have a strong track record in contests either so I can see the logic in betting against it though I'd always side with the cult hit over a mainstream sequel of an unpopular genre on gamefaqs. --- Smurf , The cream of Germany fanboyism. |

Huh,
I had a feeling this might happen. Too bad I caved into others'
opinions and raised my Oracle from 51% to 56% for Rock Band. 54% at the
end of an hour in a day match looks over, but we have one of the
biggest North America/Europe shifts I've ever seen: Rock Band is at 52%
in North America and 27% in Europe. So maybe it can pull something
together with the ASV. --- Nominate Crono so he can get a higher seed and avoid being fed to Clinkeroth early in the contest. |

yeah, creativename added a feature a while back where you can manually
trigger an update if the poll updater isn't working. Here is the URL to
do that: http://www.gamefaqscontests.com/poll_update.php?pollid= You'll need to insert a poll number at the end of the URL for it to work. So 4070 for today's match. Don't worry, I am using a download manager right now to constantly download the following URL: http://www.gamefaqscontests.com/poll_update.php?pollid=4070 So that way, I can keep triggering poll updates while I'm not at my computer. This
ASV could be pretty big. Rock Band's US percentage is currently +5.6%
on top of its overall percentage. Compare that to something like
Link/Cloud last year where Link had +3.6%. I'm looking through some
other matches, but that seems pretty huge. The gap should lower as the
US takes over a higher percentage of the votes though, so that may not
be an entirely fair comparison. --- Dr Football and Snake have won this round, but Sephiroth will rise again! |
