So what vote totals are we expecting?

Hopefully the vote total slump doesn't spill over or else we'll be getting a bunch of night matches with less than 50k votes.

Last contest, 46209 was the lowest vote total for a night match. The lowest vote total for a day match is 55285. Because the worst fodder in this contest will be weaker than the worst fodder from the last BGE, we could have some matches with terrible vote totals. I'll bet on some of the fodder/fodder matches getting less than 40000 votes in a night match.

But I do expect the average vote totals during this contest to be lower than the last contest. Especially because we went into a big vote total slump since early August. Here were the average vote totals per poll during each month since the Character Battle ended:

March - 88564.60
April - 82946.23
May - 76946.97
June - 77733.93
July - 72983.84
August - 69064.42
September - 63369.67
October - 61422.37

March only counts the 10 regular polls that were ran during that month after the Character Battle ended. And October only counts the 19 regular polls in the month before this contest started. So except for June, the average vote totals per poll declines each month since the Character Battle ended.

Vote totals are abysmal, indeed.... at this time on night matches LAST contest, we would be getting 36,000 votes even on unattractive matches. We're just a little over 30,000. Maybe my low tiebreaker choice of 109000 votes actually may be somewhat close.
