I
think the issue here is UC2 has a pretty big range. It could be
turbofodder, or it could be a low midcarder. Which sucks because the
winner of that match is going to the third round. Well, I've learned through past contests to never trust GotY polls for anything. The only other showing UC has is with Drake, who sucked it up in both of his contests so far. --- Good Times, Great Memories |

I don't get it. Can anyone explain that vote-in poll that LoD won with three other better-known JRPGs in the poll? Well,
let's be honest here -- Star Ocean, Suikoden, and Fire Emblem are
bottom tier in every sense of the word. I think people are entirely too
caught up on that GOTD vote in poll (how close do you think Ninja
Gaiden gets to Uncharted 2?), but beating out those games isn't really
much of a feat. Legend of Dragoon probably rings a bell -- for better
or worse -- sooner than those games --- There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign. |

Oh yeah, and Fire Emblem. But anyway, I do agree those RPGs are pretty much bottom of the barrel in terms of RPGs. And yet, how many of us truly expected LoD to win that poll? I don't think even one single member of B8 expected LoD to do so well. If that poll wasn't there, I'm pretty sure most of us would have placed LoD below Star Ocean, Suikoden, FE, Persona, etc. To say that LoD doesn't have some strength is ridiculous. Will it be enough to beat Uncharted 2? Possibly. I'd say Uncharted's time is just about up on this site, at least until #3. --- It takes a genius to make something simple truly great. wouldn't have expected Legend of Dragoon to win that poll, but I don't
think it's particularly meaningful that it did considering its
competition. Star Wars Battlefront was a close second place there,
which isn't exactly inspiring much confidence in anything in that poll
being particularly noteworthy. I mean, I dunno about anyone else, but I
wouldn't have to think too much about taking Uncharted 2 to wreck

Really? Thought those games were related. Am I right to assume a lot of Persona players play Nocturne though? Not at all. Nocturne, and SMT in general, is extremely niche. Persona was the first real game to come along from that series that caught on with people. what it's worth I mentioned the vote in poll that LoD won to someone at
Games Club at my school, and he was like "Oh yeah, that game was

Yeah,
it couldn't 60-40 Ninja Gaiden, and I was planning on taking Halo to
get around that much and probably higher, while I have Uncharted 2
above Halo. --- Crono > Sephiroth. 7 years of waiting, and perhaps many more to go. Remain steadfast. |
