"Guys,
Demon Souls is at Atlus game. Atlus is cult by definition. And yes, I
would take Tales of Vesperia to beat Demon Souls... its at least got a
series with fans to back it. I'm not sure Demon Souls really has that.
Do people forget that Demon Souls did absolutely horrible in every poll

I sure wouldn't." Firstly, the hype poll's pretty much worthless since DS came out of nowhere. Secondly, in the "best PS3 game of the year" it puts up close to 60% on inFamous, and while it is a much closer margin in the New Original Title poll it's being LFF'd by Dragon Age pretty hard (it may be a Japanese RPG but it plays much closer to Dragon Age than Dragon Quest, let's put it that way). Thirdly, I'd probably at least say inFamous has a shot at beating Mega Man 9. Maybe I'm not giving the Mega Man brand name enough credit (I am European after all), but from what I can tell inFamous was a lot more popular than what is essentially just a Downloadable game, even if it is arguably the king thereof. Side-note: regardless of who wins out of Demon's Souls and Mega Man 9, look out for the UK vote given that we don't give two ****s about Mega Man (as a general rule) and Demon's Souls was a powerhouse over here. Majora's Mask isn't exactly the whitest sheep in the herd either. As far as I'm concerned: MM is the black sheep in Zelda. Most people like it because it is so very, very different from other Zelda games. Though there is an argument about Zelda 2 someone else can make. We
have very little idea how Demon's Souls has been received in Europe
since it wasn't released there before any of the polls it's featured in
took place (it's done worse in Europe than the worldwide average on all
occasions). As MM9/DS is a night match, this would actually be very

really wonder how many huge blowouts we're getting in this contest. You
pretty much have to be a really obscure game to get tripled or worse in
this contest, I think. That's what we've seen from games this decade in

Well,
Dragon Age was able to get like 68% or so I think on Infamous, and I'd
take Fallout 3 to smash Dragon Age, so I think 75% especially on the
heels of New Vegas is easily gettable. Overall, I think we're gonna be
getting a lot of blowouts, just because of how weak a lot of these
games are. Like almost every significant game round 1 is gonna be

fail to see how any of TWEWY's previous polls have even been
impressive. There's really nothing to go off of for either of them, and
neither seems at all impressive. The
problem with backing MM9 is that Demon's Souls way outperformed it in
the GotY polls. And that Mega Man 2/3 performed pretty lacklusterly
last contest, and Demon's Souls might have beaten them. And that Mega
Man 9 would be lucky to only be doubled indirectly by Mega Man 2/3. And
that every downloadable game has tanked in every fashion. And that the
match pic is going to be horrific for Mega Man 9. So basically the problem with taking MM9 is everything. --- DFF |

Neku got 25,000 votes last year against Laharl. I actually took Mega Man 9 but I might change to Demon's Souls because of BT's arguments. Your probably better off just going with common sense. It doesn't matter how much its analyzed by these loons, or how many crazy 4-way polls or favorites polls they try to use as correlation for their psychotic logic, it still doesn't trump common sense. Some of these guys man, they just can't look past stats, EVER. |

Well,

Why
