I doubt WWF No Mercy even gets in the bracket without Board 8's support. I don't think GameFAQs has ever cared about wrestling. I don't think they ever cared about sports games either, but from what I remember, Tony Hawk hit that "not a real sports game" tic in most people's heads; I had no interest in skateboarding at all, but even I played those early games and loved them. Seems like most people are pretty solid on Pokemon Crystal > Zelda: Majora's Mask... why? I admit ignorance on this one- not a big fan of Pokemon, and although I can read up on it, I truly don't know which Pokemon games are the best. Also, won't voting on Pokemon games be rather arbitrary? Although they are for different handhelds, depending on the match pics, I don't really see the difference. necessarily the majority, but GS got 46.67% on MGS legitimately (don't
buy FFT hurting a fellow PS1-game any more than it hurting a fellow
RPG) before RBY/LoZ:MM came into the picture. Combine that with the
addition of Crystal to its name and the HG/SS-remake back in March, and

still find it weird how much ass a black-n-white game kicked,
especially in light of its in-color sequel on Nintendo's next handheld
system. It's not like LoZ:LA held up to LoZ:LttP at all (I get these
situations are different, don't worry). Graphics shouldn't matter much,
but it's amazing how little they mean sometimes -- RBY beating GS

I'm
still not entirely sold on G/S/C. I don't think it's anywhere near as
strong as to win the contest (as some people think), but I do think
it'll make a nice match with MM. The strongest Pokemon we've seen all came from the original generations (with the exception of Mudkip, who's more of an internet meme). GSC was when the series started to wane thin, though I will say the recent remakes give it a good reason to still be strong. D/P disappointed greatly in the last games contest, and I'm taking GTAIV to win over RSE with no problem; it's hard to imagine GSC being strong enough to win over a Zelda game from the same era. And while I know bringing up seeding is stupid, holy hell is a 1 seed for Majora's Mask impressive; how the hell did it manage that? getting a 1-seed is pretty amazing, yeah -- I thought it was going to
end up in the vote-ins due to people forgetting to nominate it since it
came from 2000. Damn impressive from a nomination standpoint, though

I don't think KOTOR beats HL by much at all, if it even wins. http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3487 And FFIX ends up closer to StarCraft than StarCraft ended up to FFVIII, despite massive LFF there. What's peoples picks for Warcraft III vs Morrowind and Dragon Age vs F-Zero GX I'm not sure of any strength in Morrowind, despite the fact it'd make my last four in games of the decade...will it get the Oblivion vote? Warcraft is a strong series name and'll probs get the WoW vote but a difficult one to call, this. I've never played Dragon Age but i see it's liked a decent amount and is more recent. F-Zero however is Nintendo. --- Did you know that? No? Neither did i. |
